Answered above, nothing changes for players, you can send your gold without any problem.
Feels like Blizz personally read my post just to put a stop to it not long after… hmph!
They meant trading gold across realms in classic where you can’t actually do that and it requires dubious practices like giving your gold to someone and their alt gives gold to your alt on another realm.
So long as the trade or gift is straightforward and allowed by the game then there shouldn’t be a problem.
And by the way in retail you can deposit into your warband bank and then withdraw from it. You don’t even need to risk mistyping a character and sending your gold to a stranger anymore.
Better ask support about this u can never be safe untill u know for the real.
