Is it allowed?

I would like to trade some ingame anniversary gold for retail cause I don’t plan on playing anniversary anymore.
But I’m worried sick I’ll get flagged or something, so I’m wondering if people who have experience with such trades know that it’s safe and blizzard doesn’t bat an eye on these ingame transactions

Anniversary gold?

Yes the fresh servers that is :stuck_out_tongue:

So… you’re asking to give gold to a Classic player, and they give you gold on retail?

Shouldn’t be an issue, but it’s done at your own risk.

I see, thank you very much

Pretty much Beerwolf said yeah. As long as RMT isnt involved.

But if the guy scams you out of your gold, dont expect Blizz to do anything about it either.

get them to trade you the retail gold first before giving the classic gold

most people do it that way out of trust

Is axram bank giving loans ?

not anymore ,Trump crashed the market

Pfff… :weary:

To be precise, they might punish the scammer, but if you do get scammed blizzard won’t give you any gold back.

Schroendiger’s banhammer

The risk isn’t getting banned, the risk is getting scammed without any way to get your gold back.

There’s also the risk of getting illegal golds upon which you may get hit with washing gold penalties (RMT)

…Schroendiger’s scammer?

I do wonder how deep it goes since tehnicaly people can buy my flasks, pots, food and etc…with dirty gold. :police_car: :money_with_wings:

AH stuff is generally well covered unless very suspicious transactions are detected. e.g. buying a stone for 99999 gold.

Correct me if I remember this wrong, but what happened in the past is that if someone buys your stuff with RMT gold, that gold got removed from you.

OP has to find someone who he can really trust, and he has to be trusted by the trade partner if it were “recive retail gold first then give classic gold”.

I guess most of the time trades like these go without isssue, but being scammed still can hit anyone.

And now it is officially no longer allowed.

  • Can I trade gold with another player between WoW Classic and Modern?

  • Can I trade gold with a friend on another realm?

  • Made a deal with another player to exchange gold between factions but he didn’t hold up his end

  • I’m trying to trade gold to another Faction in WoW Classic

Trading gold across WoW realms or factions, or different versions of WoW (Modern to Classic), is prohibited. Involvement in a trade of this nature can result in account penalties, up to and including, account closure.

Does that also include just giving gold between wow realms? Some patches ago we could not trade gold because of the game, then they changed it so that we could do it in game, and now we can actually can, but it is not permitted?
If it is not permitted, just bring back the in game restriction.
