Is it crazy to have more than one of the same class?

With Kul tirans incoming and other allied races out i have started to make more shamans than just this one. Mainly for immersive and transmog purposes.

How many of the same class have you got and why?

If it’s all in your head, no I don’t think it’s Crazy at all. :man_shrugging:

Not crazy in any way. I have several priests and paladins, some monks and a few shamans. Most even max level. I cant help it, i just like to level those classes.

No, many people get more than one of same class.

Personally I only have one of each class.

Each to thier own tbh…some ppl can just stick to 1 toon, while other want to atleast have a tank, a healer and a dps class, while other want to have 1 of each class…and then we have ppl who enjoy having each class on each side.

I kinda have 1 of each class on each side, but, after they added in the allied race, i have started to lvl up atleast 1 of each race aswell, to the class i feel fit the race perfectly.

Having lvl up on multi server aswell and toon capped (50), i am sure i have atleast 3-4 of each class (dif race tho).

Hell, once the 2 new allied race come out, i am gonna roll a druid on both, leaving me to have a druid for each race ingame (-worgen), still, thats like 6 druid then :stuck_out_tongue:

A fun thing about having multi race / class combo is also that you can spec them into what feel like the perfect combo for them, while also giving them a transmorg that fit that fantazy.

Tbh, if they lifted the ā€œ50 char pr accountā€ limit, i will not be supriced if someone out there where to lvl up all class / race / gender combo there are, just for the heck of it.

I am a fire mage. I only play fire mage. Not simply just a mage but a fire mage. I have levelled eight fire mages on the same realm this year. Currently 115 with my latest. There are no rules to the game just have a blast. A fire blast. Also only Blood Elf and even the character has exactly the same features Only the name changes. They even all wear the same transmog gear and look exactly the same. But I’m just mad in love with fire mage… it never gets old. Been like it since 2008.

I did level all the other classes. I actually liked destruction warlock and have a handful. Shaman wasn’t bad either… but I have deleted so many just so I can play fire mage.

Short answer, noooo.

Long answer.
It can be very handy to for example have one Horde druid and one Alliance druid. (Druids rock!) They got stealth, insta poof into a bird. Insta poof into a water creature. It’s always a good idea to have a strong stealth character.

I also have multiple characters for immersion. You feel more immersed in the game if your character fits with the story and the world. For example, a Tauren venturing to distant lands to meet their long lost cousins (Highmountain Tauren.)

It’s not crazy. I know I will definitely be making a Zandalari + Kul Tiran druid, epic forms! Dino kitty cat mode!

There’s one guy who currently has 21 max level warriors and is aiming for 42 @ https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/af9jwp/world_of_warriors_21_120_warriors_and_half_way_to/

Granted he has autism and it’s a coping mechanism for him but it’s not crazy and he’s having a lot of fun collecting all the transmogs so knock yourself silly with making multiple of the same class. No shame in it :stuck_out_tongue:

Wow. 0.0 And my bud thinks I’m crazy for having 4 warriors. xD

Doesn’t he get bored of the same class all the time?

Well personally I’d like to say any normal person would get bored but there’s always exceptions to the norm. I mean you have some people out there who only pet battle

A lot of people I know, including myself, have multiple characters of the same class.

I like to have different race/class combos. Nothing weird about it, if you are having fun with it.

This is how i level alts when it’s pet battle event

I have 4 rogues, soon 5.
Makes collecting transmogs way easier!

I’m thinking about creating more alts, all with different professions so I can cover everything. The only problem is whereas I feel really attached to Peacemoon, I find it difficult to get the same attachment to any other character, and ultimately they get forgotten. With Peacemoon it feels like ā€˜this is me’ and with others it’s all a bit random.

I do struggle with alts because there is always so much to do on one’s main… I still haven’t got to M+10s yet or done the raid.

at least 2 of each (1 set of horde toons on draenor , 2nd allience on silvermoon) . + void elf hunter - silvermoon, nightborne monk - draenor for heritage arours leveling them very slowly , besides this couple of classes on now dead realm of Saurfang (horde toons) , and couple toons on argent down (allience)

overall i have 44 alts

some may say its a lot - but if you look how long this game is out its not really that … ā€œmuchā€

gonna make 2 druids - one kultiran one zandalari when those races will be out and level them … very very slowly for armours too

wont lie - im waiting impatiently for 8.2 and mechanognomes that they shown during blizzcon to level up 1 as female mechanognome warlock on argent down

and to anyone wondering - why ? because i find leveling really fun  even after all those years

Do you live in the molten core? You were born to be a dark iron dwarf aha.
