It’s something I’ve been noticing now for over a week, the lack of Rogue kicking around.
I hardly see any in normal/heroic raids, very very few in M+ runs.
Are they too difficult to play for many, so that is why we’re seeing so many DH & Druids kicking around?
Kinda confused, but also a bit in the mindset of should I make a Rogue to fill the void!

I wouldn’t say there’s a void. My guild has a few rogue mains who do keys as well as several alts.
Gives you an idea of their popularity:-
Heroic Raid Parses
Normal Raid Parses

Maybe I’ve just been in the wrong place/wrong time, as so far Rogues are like a rare breed when you see one running outside or in a raid/M+ run.
But I know they punch of the dps numbers.
Their numbers are quite low for some specs compared to other classes.

According to this data, only Evokers are less popular than Rogues rn.
I’ve levelled pretty much every class through DF now. I’m levelling my Outlaw Rogue as we speak as it was the one I left until last, using the default talent tree, and it’s the class I’ve found least enjoyable to play. Just doesn’t feel right.

Probably some streamer said that rogues are in bad spot or something and ‘everyone’ re-rolled.

In streamers’ eyes, rogues are OP and S-tier.

Rogues always been my main or at least a char I play a lot. However I do not like the new iteration of shadow dance outlaw, and afaik that’s the spec to play. Perhaps others feel that way too, outlaw, or combat for me was just a constant stream of damage (that popped off with good rolls) etc. assa rogue needs to restealths for the garrote bonus dmg and most groups chain pull, so rogues getting a re stealth can be awkward. Yeah so probs not as popular

Well they’re camouflaged so here’s that

It was time for a change… xD Playing Rogue is really stressfull as you get up in keys.
Your expected to bring huge deeps. Interupt every cast. Be the top of the meeter. And if your not? And something goes wrong? Guess who’s fault it is…
Life is just much easier as a mage. I sheep ghosts and throw Counterspell every now and then. And just play the game.

Not that I do mythic or raiding these days… but as someone who mains a rogue since vanilla (Combat, Outlaw)… its the first time I don’t enjoy it.
I mean, Roll the Bones was never my favourite (I disliked it somwhat)… but the build now with Shadowdance is way more clunkier. Its just not that fun. Yeah, you blow stuff up but its not that smooth.
Seen more Rogues complain about it. I would think the big numbers would keep them still popular in grouped content though.
IMO: Blizzard did a bad job with this rework. If anything, its not about the amount of buttons just make it a smooth flowing experience.
If nothing has changed since start of season, rogues should be OP. I’ve also seen tons of rogues. I think likely thing is that most players are mechanically not good enough to play rogue proficiently without a lot of practice first. Rogue is a class that you should absolutely main, if you wanna play it.

Outlaw rogues are common enough in pve… meanwhile the other specs just lock me down dead in pvp
They’re rogues. They like hiding.

whole class feels like a chore to me tbh

Rouges would be pretty crap if you could easily see them. That’s why you can’t see them.

80% of players are rogues.
But they prefer to solo and stay stealthed…

You’re not supposed to see them!
