Is it necessary to read the World of Warcraft books (novels) in order? Is every book a sequel to the previous one? Or will I be fine even if I read the books in a completely random order? I roughly know which events happend at which time in the game.
You can read most in any order but there are some series, such as the War of the Ancients that need to be read in order of each other.
The books are all written by different authors so they rarely link off one another.

If you do want to read them in chronological order you can find lists with a quick google. I’d link but I’m not allowed

Read them in any order really. Unless they are part of a series that is.
This is because continuity is something blizzard does not take into account for their storytelling so retcons are in plenty.
