We are crafting 7 items and you propose him early crafts like wyrmm and then recraft with aspects.
7x wyrm craft costs 7x drocatyst and in my server it is 3k gold for 1 drocatyst.
only crafting wyrm makes 21k gold, and you have to pay tip for crafters. Lets assume you pay 2k for each and it makes 14k gold. In total for 7x wyrm item on 437 ilvl without materials you have to pay 35k gold.
Time to recraft and you are going to recraft 7x item, you will need 7 x 2 = 14 drocatys and it makes 14 x 3 = 42k gold. you will pay 2k for crafters ( if you are lucky ) and it will again mage 14k gold. In total it makes 56k gold for aspect crafting without even considering materials.
35k gold wyrm + 56k gold aspect = 91k GOLD, and it is without any other materials ( probably they will cost 40k as well )
Weâre talking about upgrades, not max ilvl upgrades. Also thereâs two enchanted wyrm crests available from completing the campaign and reaching 20 loam renown respectively. Either way dissuading someone from upgrading their 389 and 398 items to 424 by saying it will cost them extortionate amounts of gold is bad faith.
good luck convincing M+ players in to making quests for garbage wyrm crests. M+ players like me only log in the game, do dungeons and log out. We never do campaign quests or anything else. I never been in new map, I use other upgrade NPC in valdrakken. Why i am forced to do useless quests for M+ running ? Sadly, blitz make M+ huge gold sink, consumables, runes, enchants, crafts and all the other things are huge gold sink. We donât farm, and we donât have to farm gold.
Anything that is on the champion upgrade path can already be upgraded to 437, which is 4 ilvl away from the hero upgrade path that drop from 17s.
Valor was only good for upgrading gear once they uncapped the amount you can get. Until then most gear upgrade path was too expensive to up to maximum. The only advantage Valor had is that it was good to upgrade a singular piece you got from low keys (an important one, that hopefully wasnât a weapon) and it was also capped by M+ rating, so with each alt you had to reach 2500 in order to upgrade it to its maximum ilvl.
Every dungeon 2 pieces drop. Thatâs all you need to knowâŠ
And yeah, that means you can get unlucky over a span of 17 runs, which does suck, but in the end, M+ would be too OP compared to raiding for gear, if gearing was even easier, since it is alread easy.
I think what he means is the connection crafting has now with the crests, as previously all you had to do is to reach the M+ score and then get the valor to upgrade gear regardless of what key level it dropped from.
Crafting was its standalone thing.
Now you do not need the M+ rating so it is easier to gear alts, but that effort now got shifted into crests instead, which is now attached to crafting in the form of Enchanted crests.
Valid, they do use the same resource but the resource is pseudo infinite at this point. Also for 424 items which are still a huge starting jump for most new players, especially given the free ring sockets and optimal stats, donât require crests at all.
For what itâs worth I do think enchanting the crests being a crafting process that requires extra mats is convoluted and unnecessary, but that doesnât sour the entire system at all ilvls.
Not at all. You start every season at practically 0, so you have to get through there anyways. And the current system is for seasons much better than the former one. Why?
Because as I mentioned, the upgrade currency pools are not shared anymore, meaning all of them have no weekly limit anymore. You can now basically progress as fast as RNG lets you progress, instead to the former âas fast as RNG and weekly currency limit let youâ.
Oh, I agree. Donât get me wrong I like the current system compared to the previous Valor system, but I understand what reason some people may have with it as most are terrible at making gold on their own (which I blame the table missions for. It flooded the market with gold and taught people that it is easier to just AFK next to a table than actually go out in the world and earn their gold like they did pre-WoD).
I personally do not mind Enchanting Crests as, for me, the system is clear and Blizzard wants to keep the economy rolling in terms of crafting materials for us to use. But then I also do not mind spending set times for myself when I am earning gold for myself.
You are not supposed to stay forever in the lower bracket, thatâs why the introduced gear tiers.
Eventually you need to move at the highest one (17s+) if you want that extra 4 ilvl from 437 8/8 to 441 5/5. However if someone doesnt plan to do higher content or belongs to 99% of people that donât push high end content wonât even notice that 4 ilvl difference in an item even if its bis Trinket.
Yes there is some super rng luck sometimes like me last season looting furious ragefeather second run from a m+2 but this is an outlier usually.
437 is not bad compared to 441. My priest has a 437 spoils of neltharus at 3100± now but doesnt affect me lol. Its not 441 or 447 but Iâm not in the 0.1% difficulty anyway
It has probably been pointed out quite a few times already, yet just in case:
If you have done 30 keys, that is 12x30 fragments, or converted, it is 6 items at 447 ilvl.
So you have not exactly come out of it empty handed. You filled out 6 slots with BiS gear.
Now, let us agree that you are extremely unlucky - that noone traded you any loot and you actually got no loot. 10 runs with a failed 40% chance would be what, 6% chance to happen. 30 runs, that would be what, close to 1:trillion chance? But yes - extremely unlucky as I said.
If that happens, you should make a GM ticket and report a very serious bug. Because if what you say is true, then we are talking about mathematically close to impossibilities, it needs to get looked into. ASAP.
yes. this is the point! there is no reason to waste time with trash keysâŠ
because they want milk money and do nothingâŠ
i have tons better games where devs work hard and make REAL content. this games are the future.
i bet most people play because of nostalgia. and first games from real blizz was masterpieces.
