Is it only me that hate to heal Vdh as a rshaman?

i dont know if its my problem but the amount of damage vengeance dh’s take is insane…i literaly sometimes spam healing surge and their health just wont come up…my last sanguide depths key i made with vdh every pack he took was a nearly death experience…i think guardian druid is much better than vdh and vdh is overrated…also for those who are wondering my io is 1.5k and no im not boosted

Perhaps the VDHs you played with were, though.

They are kinda squishy outside of mitigation CDs, but that’s when they should jump away and kite. Personally, I rather like healing VDHs, they can kite well, and they take even less damage then than bears. :]

I don’t hate it, but healing DKs and DHs is…different :stuck_out_tongue:

All depends on who plays the class in the end.

I learned one thing last night though, don’t forget to unselect your raid talents. Did time it, but it sucked, total error from my side though.

They can talent to tankiness or to more damooge, im guessing they pick more damage most of the times.

Dont ask me what talent that is but i do know that from a friend that was tanking with me that mostly used damage talents that made me bleed whilst on tanking talents he was amazing.

Perhaps a DH tank main can tell us more about it

It’s more the legendary than the build. There are two main legendaries used by VDH: Razelikh’s and Fiery Soul. The former makes soul cleave reduce the CD of sigils (including Elysian Decree), the latter the CD of Fiery Brand. There first is usually used with a Spirit Bomb build, and can dish out some very nice damage. The second is used with a build focused on defensives and fiery brand uptime.

Obviously, the second is considerably more tanky (can still put out respectable damage, though). Wowhead has a nice talent setup for both, for anyone interested.

The problem is this: VDH are good enough, the real issue is the player behind the character, most have rerolled VDH because said they are insane they are the tankiness of all tanks and they are easy to play well people think VDH are easy, mastering their toolkit is hard, learning when to kite, when to use cd’s most even dont know when or how. Bear tanks are my favorite to heal immo but VDH are a solid 2. But well you need to have a good player behind them.

Of played right VDH are great to heal, you either don’t have to do more than shield and riptide or you see stable and low damage intake. On the other hand if the player isnt great they can be worse to heal than dk, who is btw the same one dk is “i don’t need your heals” while others are “surge surge surge me more”

Guardian druids also double benefit from our mastery. They get our mastery bonus. And their bonus. So healing them is a lot more efficient for us.

Spikey casino of health that is blood DK. Now that is stressful.

i Kinda feel the same, healing VDH are harder, in my exp. It may be the player behind the keyboard. My best exp with tanks have actually been Druid - Warrior - Monk. Healing wise.

It also depends on the player in the end, there’s also still a few face tankers out there and sadly SL is not a face tank expansion, it’s more for tanks saying “Booo” and run
