Is it over for HC?

On stitches alliance, so the more populated side, it became much more difficult to find groups for dungeons, both for leveling but also for endgame.
For low level dungeons, the groups almost don’t exist after stockades. You’ll be happy to find a group if you stay up and look for people/groups for the entire day. When I played healer it took me 2 hours to find tank for uldaman, and now as a tank nobody does it at all.
For high level dungeons, it can take up to multiple hours to find a group for whatever you want to do, as a non DPS.
I actually wanted to enjoy dungeon experience in hardcore but apparently there is none. Two months ago it way way more active but unfortunately I wasn’t 60 yet and I died, but now when I got to that point there is nothing.

With all this grouping and ah and trading stuff HC is way too easy and nobody dies. Due to this there is going to be less and less people at certsin level brackets.
SSF might fix this but only if there are new servers for that.

LOL, try downloding Deathlog addon or be in Guild.

Personally I would only group with guild members as a random group could get you killed if someone doesn’t know their role.

The worst thing to see in a HC dungeons is “Hi, I’m new to Tanking/healing, please bear with me”

One has to start somewhere. And why not start on HC where everybody is more careful? Seems like an easier enviroment to get started than the normal game mode.
It all goes to sht though, if you have these “gogogo” types in your party.^^

I would suggest Era for practice.

One life, so if they mess up, you die forever.

Yes it’s basically dead on horde at all times. If you don’t join the zerg of Nihilium or Balast you won’t do lvl 60 content. But even then they are mostly raid logging anyways until they die.

What are you on about? Stitches Horde is very much alive. Low level Dungeons and all. Raids are obviously not as present since most players choose alliance due to pally buffs (i would assume)

I dont know. You may overthink tanking/healing. Of course, its another issue if the person in question is playing any version of wow for the first time.
Most players are well accustomed to what tanking and healing means. Granted, tanking/healing is very different to thinks like wotlk and onwards, but the fundamentals are the same.

Classic dungeons (atleast the low-mid level ones) are very easy and are only deadly if people mess up quite a bit.

It’s so much alive that right now (6:15PM) i typed /who Blackrock and there was only a single person in Blackrock Mountain. Noone in BRD or UBRS or LBRS. We have some pretty consistent lvl 45 hunter bots in Scholomance tho.

Low lvl zones on nekrosh are still busting

Granted many die (weird but true) but activity I’d still high

The game is all about getting to level 60, and nothing else really.

World of Warcraft teaches you how to lead a battle group.
The whole thing up to 40 people, which is a masterful task.
Paired with the hardcore game, it turns into a ultimate challenge
to become a real general.

Lol why do you think new servers would be needed if your character would be blocked from mailing, trading and using AH anyway? So that you couldn’t group up? That’s a little excuse and even addon can handle that if you really want to prove someone that you have no self control. Fully SSF realm would be dead on arrival, SF mode however will be sustainable on HC realms.

maybe there are lots willing to do starting dungeons but either die, or have to run out close to dying that they are put off any more pugs. So fewer and fewer players pug as they level.

my own personal playstyle preference is not to put my 1 life in the hands of others who may be as incompetent as myself - or to cause a wipe myself. If I die it will be my fault and not involving anyone else.

A common retort to this point of view is “it’s easy, only bads can’t do it safely”. Either that is true and there are a majority of bad players, or everybody but me finds it easy and they just dont do dungeons so much.

I commonly see level 12 players shouting for Ragefire Chasm and level 18 for Wailing Caverns.
So I don’t pug.

lvl 33 and tbh I’ve never experienced what you described
zones are crowded, finding groups are sure not as convenient and fast as lfr, yet as dd I always managed to find one within an hour

Its the goal you set yourself.

For Nekrosh server its all over. If you are not in two largest horde guild - good luck finding party at lvl 60.
