With the upcoming pre-patch, the Brew fest will be updated and the rare level 40 Brewfest Ram will be no longer obtainable.
Can we get one last chance to buy the item?

For once I’m going to say I hope not. I did it last year, because I prepared for the eventuality that Wrath with Achievements would come along. I don’t want this diminshed by late comers;)
Like the fishing ach. is now with 6 - 8 winners each Suncday.
I hope you understand.
They have to implement a TBC Brewfest otherwise we will get level 80 trinkets.
I was not around by the time the mount was available.
I hope you understand.
They will just lower the ilevel a little bit.
Yeah, then you miss opportunities. That’s kinda what the subscription model of the MMO is.
Look at all the pro-gamers flexing how they logged for two weeks last year. Gotta gatekeep people out of that exclusive club.
Frankly it doesn’t really matter. Maybe they will put it back, maybe they won’t. I’ve been waiting a long time to roll a Death Knight as a main so I already came to terms that there will always be things I’ll be missing.
Aparently the Competitor’s Tabard is making a return in Wrath, so there is still a shot cause I don’t see Blizzard coding new ilevel 200 items when they can just put the 70 event wholesale, but what might happen is that Brewfest will be delayed or skipped as we will be having the Scourge Invasion rerun during that time (a much more important event than Brewfest).
I don’t have that mount. I simply think “I wasn’t playing the game at that time” should never be a reason to bring back feats of strength or exclusives. It undermines the whole aspect of collecting, having events and playing the game over an extended amount of time.
Might as well play a single player game without monthly subscription.
It wasn’t even a jab at you in particular. Think we don’t see posts like yours every time everyone suggestings Blizzard should bring back X or Y? It never ceases to sound petulant and entitled when people rally against it cause it would invalidate their sense of pride and accomplisment.
Heck, people moaned how Classic shouldn’t be a thing cause it would diminish the exclusivity of the people that actually played through it.
Yep, it would make playing the game and the sense of having achieved something completely void.
They can’t, the trinkets are already iLvl 200 (which is the minimum for an epic in WotLK). Either we’re getting the WotLK version or the TBC version, most likely.
Very possible, the expansions have a shorter life-time and I wouldn’t mind the TBC version if the loot would advance people too fast. Though I wouldn’t think making the trinket blue and reducing the stats slightly would be that much work either.
Did some research and aparently here’s what is going to happen.
The Brewfest normal mount was only obtainable in 2007, because in 2008 WoW was already in pre-patch during Brewfest just before Wrath Launched, so there is data for the original event for 3.0.1. Instead of the rare Ram mount they introduced Hops items that turn any mount to rams and those became the norm moving forward. What we can get howerver is the 2008 Brewfest Stein, which is also an amazingly rare item on its own right.
What will happen is that the event will have Coren at 70 droping ilevel 128 trinkets for this year’s Brewfest in Classic. No point in worrying our heads about it. It is already pre-determined. No Rams for anyone.
Yes, but Iwas counting TBC to last as long as Classic, so 2 brewfest oportunities. They rushed the content.
I am counting it is cheaper to have last years event, than having an intern code new less powerful trinkets.
There have been festival and prepatching events coexisting before. Then my fun will be ruined by a zombie player infecting brefest npcs.
I have the ram on retail and it gives no achievement at all, but yes if they go by timeline it should not be available again as they changed tickets to tokens and also removed the stamp quest.
Which should also not even be the case. We got the 2008 stein last year (2007er event) and it should either be the 2007er or 2009er, but speaking of making sense, blizz absolutely never does.
Yes, but the vendor is still there even in Retail and still sells the fast ram (level 60 one) to people who did the stamp quest and it gives you the achievement Brew-fast.
Yes thats true
