At the end of the cinematic we see what we all believe is her dying, so it got me wondering if really she just passed out after the whooping we gave her? Also, could she be of good use story wise if she survived?
Nah she dead.
Kind of reminded me of Aszhara’s cinematic when we defeated her back in the Eternal Palace raid during BFA. The difference being that unlike N’Zoth, Xal’atath didn’t ‘save’ her and instead just started mocking her.
I guess Ansurek was a discount Aszhara. Otherwise, there are a lot of parallels between the deals they both made and their motivations.
Anyone can survive anything in comicbook storytelling like Warcraft’s. That said, they only do, if the writers want to use the character again. In this case… why bother? She is barely a character at all, just a stupid pawn. The only thing I could imagine would be another redemption arc, but why redeem a character no one has been given any reason to care for? For the joy of telling another story of regret and humiliation? Urgs.
I think it’s much more likely that she’s dead and the main purpose of her character was to show that Xal’atath and her honeyed words/promises of power are not to be trusted and lead only to corruption and death.
If she was intended to have a larger role in the narrative, I suspect such plans fell through - just like how the Horde is ‘barely there’ during the current story-line.
Nah, that cinematic feels too final for her to come back. Besides the original queen is, sort of back so there’s really no point.
Damn that was a nice cinematic. Her death I mean. This is why I hate the Blizz writing team. They can write the hell out of a story then the next story, you get a piece of total crap. It’s annoying.
