Like Vereesa or Sylvanas in Warbringers
We are getting improvements with the patch
It’s for Elves in general.
I’m not sure if Nightborne and Void Elves are in this bag of eye adjustments.
They are.
And they managed to make the Nightborne even uglier.
But our voices remain the same.
Sexy and snobby
I guess it will not let me put a picture here, but i meant literally non-glowing eyes, like what humans/orcs/dwarves/etc. have. https://blizzardwatch.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Sylvanas_warbringers.jpg
I didn’t know Humans, Orcs and regular Dwarves also had glowing eyes, except for their respective Death Knights.
I mean, I know Draenei and Dark Irons Dwarves as well as the Elven races, have glowing blue, silver, gold, green and red, respectively, glowing eyes.
They did a good work on the bloodelf eyes while the nightelfs, it’s…fugly.
The night elfs new eyes looks more like the death Knight instead of being like the bloodelfs.
Well, it’s still work in progress but my guess is, ( or how blizz does these days) they are going to keep as it is on the PTR. So, get ready for horde bais and butchering Night elfs with their fugly eyes. ( Atleast the void elf’s looks cool )
That bit in the video bothered me so much.
Either its new lore that non magic elves have normal eyes, or the artist overlooked that bit and Blizzy didnt even bat an eye and let it be approved.
Is that even possible?
Vereesa has eyes like that . If high elves can have eyes like that, why not blood elves.
Zandalari? As well?
I think that would break the lore left in WoW even more.
Elves have a natural affinity with magic, that’s why their eyes glow.
Personally I’m fine with the new changes but I wouldn’t like to see the grow remove entirely.
Not just for elves. I they are working on making eyes separate from the rest of the model so they can be added as a customisation option.
Worgen have glowing eye options as well for example.
I’d only like it as an option. I would still like glowing eyes for my mage. And as I’ve mentioned before, some high elves have eyes like that .
Thing is, all elves have a connection with magic; doesn’t matter if they’re Hunters or Mages.
For example High elves and Blood elves need to consume magic in order to survive.
In theory High elves should have the same eyes as Blood elves since they’re the same spices, the only thing that distinguish them is the different source of magic they consume. (aka Blood elves Sunwell, High elves pure mana crystals or Dalaran thingy I think not sure).
I haven’t seen the model with detail though.
Edit:
So, I went to Dalaran and saw at Fialla Sweetberry eyes (a random NPC in Dalaran. Doesn’t sound right… imagine an Undead elf looking at your eyes, ugh), and indeed her eyes don’t glow as Blood elves eyes do.
I can’t explain why but I think with the new upgrade Blood elves eyes will look like ‘NPC eyes’.
On a side note, the eyes of Sylvanas in Warbringers look more like Humans eyes rather than Elven eyes in my opinion but that was Blizzard choice.
The cinematic bothered me when it came out, I assume either the artist missed it and it was to late to change or it was done that way to better highlight her glow eyes when she becomes the banshee and having the normal eyes in the earlier part helps the viewer see the change better + as humans we are more used to seeing a face with normal eyes so it helps with conveying emotions better if you can see the eyes better, glow eyes can give a sense of less emotion to a face.
My guess. Blood Elves will have a new slider that changes them from fel green to golden rather than having to select a new face.
People shouldn’t get too excited about this, it’s not going to be as significant as the human additions, probably because of that.
Yeah… And Blue too~
