Alright so basically as the title says is that actually somehow possible?. I don’t have a guild atm and also Im not quite sure if I would even enjoy all that stressfull mythic raiding and potentialy endlessly wiping until some day you actually manage to drop that boss just to have the same problem at the next one. I am obviously aware of the fact that with carapace and nzoth dropping 10 ilvl higher gear than the rest of the bosses it’s the highest ilvl gear you can get but is there a way to get at least very close to being BIS geared while avoiding mythic raiding?

These days a BiS list though is pretty much impossible to achieve due to all the RNG such as sockets and corruptions.
You can achieve more or less the highest iLvl through Mythic+ though.
I never got anything useful from my weekly M+ chest im incredibly unlucky and was stuck with 460 weapons, but the first mythic boss can loot a 475 weapon that was a good suprise
Yeah i try to do this raid as PuG too, i wiped so many times on the first boss that i could do it with blind eyes now ^^’. Problem is, after each wipe 20-30% of the raid is leaving this is why it asks so many attempts.
Important to know if the first boss falls, two next boss will fall quickly too, especially skitra is really easy
It’s a shame it does not work like HM i hate this key mechanic in mythic, it prevents me from trying further boss i would really need raden
After they changed corruptions to a vendor it is very possible to hit a perfect character. First time in many years in fact.
You need to get loot, which is random as it always been. Once you got the items you need you control everything else. Corruptions and gem slots aren’t random anymore.
As hunter i won’t hit full BiS gear as that requires carapace and n’zoth for azerite pieces that contain both wild instincts and dance of death. Ill get them on heroic. Other pieces can be obtained from M+ dungeons, easy mythic bosses (first 3 is pugable np) etc. Azerite shoulders are bis from titan residue vendor.
Thing is, once you have the gear piece in question, you’re set to go. You don’t have to go through multiple layers of RNG anymore - did the item drop? if yes did it drop warforged? If yes did it roll a socket? You can see where this is going, getting “perfect” gear both with warforged and socket was about as rare as getting a rare mount from old raid boss.
Now this isn’t the case. You get the base item and THAT IS IT when it comes to randomness. Rest is in your hands on corruption vendor and socket drill item. Takes some time, sure. But it’s realible, unlike previous expansions.
You can get pretty well-geared without Mythic raiding to an extent that you probably won’t need any better gear than you can get. Unless you want to time keys in the >+25 bracket where every last bit of performance is required, you can do extremely well with M+ gear.
Doing M+ only, currently walls you at a 480 overall ilvl if you have neck 91 - as you can have 475 on every slot and 480 azerite pieces.
Some classes get their BiS from PVP, this is also technically not raiding. For example, the BM Hunter shoulders with DoD and RR.
But you are not able to get perfect gear without raiding carp and nzot on myth. With titanforging/warforging you was able to get perfect gear…yes you needed tons of luck but you was able to get it now you cant.
From your post its look like you dont care about item level in terms of bis/perfect gear so if you dont care now why you cared when tf/wf was in game?
I just dont get it people now saying that getting bis is better now than when tf/wf was a thing but its true just for myth raider and even then right now you need tons of luck for weekly chest because its only option to get 475 il dungeon gear.
Just imagine you play fury warrior their bis weapon comes from KR now they can get it with 475 il only in weekly chest so once a week. When tf/wf was in game they were able to farm it in dungeon. Chances to getting it were low but it was still farmable right now it isnt.
Im not saying its not enough you dont need mythic gear to clear myth content I agree but we play RPG personaly for me part of it is gearing my character right know im pretty much done with it except once per week from chest same goes for my alts so big part of game end for me.
And again if your bis comes from dungeons you cant farm it right now which is dumb in my opinion. You can always adapt tf/wf so it rewsrds only end game players (something like only in keys above 20+ item will tf/wf) and it would be fine but completely removing it is not healthy for wow in my opinion.
Workshop Overclocking bit band would be a huge upgrade because you already have an “if” ring but no “then” ring. I simmed it and you would get +900 DPS assuming you can tay behind the target. Probably also try to get the “Logic Loop of Recursion” from Junkyard as being behind the target as a caster is a little hard sometimes.
5-Mask Vision runs award 470 corrupted gear - lots of upgrades there for you.
You barely have any sockets, Visions will award you sockets
You can buy BiS corruption with Echoes
I don’t know if that’s your main, if it’s an alt I probably wouldn’t bother grinding the Mechagon rings this is just a bunch of suggestions since you said you got no upgrade perspective besides the weekly chest.
Actual bis not possible, close to you can. Just need alot of luck of rng.
I am curios though why are you so afraid of a mythic guild? Mythic guilds are not as stresfull as people paint them tbh. They are just a group of 20 odd people trying to down a boss. If you suck and cannot take constructive criticism on where to improve, or you cannot stand on the bench because your class is not suited for the encounter then you will have a really bad time.
Seems like peple are afraid to join a mythic prog guild because it would make them compete with competent people,and show the cracks in their play .I don’t see this as something bad if you are willing to improve. You can at the very least give it a try and see how it goes if you cannot improve that’s it you tried at least.
when talking about building a perfect character i assume you have access to all of the content. Yes that includes 12/12 mythic because why shouldn’t it. I cleared 14/14 mythic in siege of orgrimmar and despite this raid lasting for 14 months i was not able to obtain perfect gear. Because of warforged loot being very rare in 10-player guilds. Had maybe 4 pieces mythic warforged.
Now lets compare with hellfire citadel, also cleared 13/13 on mythic. Perfect character would need both warforged AND socketed to roll on his gear. Now you’re talking about rare mount level of drop chance, as both of those effects had 10-20% odds at best. To get two of them on one item you’re looking at 1-4% chance. And my luck was in line with this, obtaining only 2 such items in a freaking year of farming that raid. It landed on the class trinket (which was kinda bad for MM) and on gloves from a shipyard mission xD
The closest I’ve got to perfect was in Dragon Soul. I missed only heroic bow from madness because i was a noobie back then and only cleared this raid in last reset before pre-patch. I’ve seen a number of perfect characters in that tier.
What’s the point of aiming for BiS for everything?
It’ll be outdated soon enough anyway… Just aim for good enough to do whatever content you want to do.
You’re gonna go insane if you’re gonna butt heads with the RNG for long enough to get BiS for all your slots.
