Is it possible to make Mecha-gnomes more visually appealing?

When i heard about the Mecha gnomes i was actually really intrigued since i loved the concept.

The idea of a race so obsessed with perfection and machines that they start replacing their body parts with cybernetics to enhance their skills is a cool idea that has been explored in several properties already (Shadow run, Deus ex, Warhammer 40k, Cyberpunk, etc).

I imagined almost an Adeptus Mechanicus inspired race in wow.
What we instead got is perhaps the most visually unappealing race blizzard has ever created.

The fact that their arms and legs have been amputated while their main body is untouched by enhancements makes them seem so damn unappealing since they look more like people that have been in an accident rather than people trying to enhance their body.

I know they just arrived but with the rework to customization would it be possible to give them more cyborg options or just an option to just make them a complete robot (lore wise it could be explained that some of the completely mechanized gnomes rejoined their kin later) down the line or in future expansions?

At least something so we can get away from the amputee diaper baby look.

The damage is done and they wasted an AR-slot for a race the majority of players never will play to begin with. All they can do is make up for it with better allied races.

Possible? Yes! Mechanical skin and faces! They should never release Mechagnomes as Cyborgs.

Will it happen? We can dream

Just look at him!

Yes, it is possible, if they remove Trashgnomes from the game people will remember them as a sweet memory of the past, they will be more appealing in people’s minds.

Hush now, fleshy one. We’re prefect as we are.

A good Tmog can go a long way…

I think they tried to go for a gnomish cyberman look rather than a admech look personnally. Imo the admech style would have looked better on the legion or an antagonistic force, the mechagon loyalists for instance.

I would to see Mechagnomes get some way of unlocking more looks for their limbs.

Mordesh would be the way to go. Unlickily, wildstar’s dead.

Paper bag head slot transmogrification would do wonders.

Of course, pick your favorite race, name character Mechagnome. Done.

I’m pretty sure when people wanted mechagnomes they wanted what we got in Wrath. God forbid Blizzard gives the players things they want and not some bastardised version.

Meh. Cyborgs are much cooler than robots.

Whilst I am happy to have more customisation options or amounts, it’s false that the wotlk mechagnomes within the gnome community were favoured.

I mean people say “nobody plays them” and then go on to talk as if they know what the players who do think. Which is it?

Also SMH at some of the inability to handle something other players like but you don’t. Throwing terms like “waste of a slot” or “objectively bad”, get over yourselves, you sound so freaking entitled.

Somehow people managed to convince themselves that the 5th slot would either magically be high elves or some other random race nothing to do with 8.2 so the ly behave like MGs blocked it. I predicted it as soon as MGs were shown to be in game, it was easy to see. Don’t urinate all over what other players like because you didn’t get something you want which you’ve convinced yourself is “objectively better” somehow.

Tons of allied races aren’t up my street. But you know what, good for the players who like them. We call this stance “maturity”.

I wish players would simply be happy to advocate for what they want without turning it into a “at your expense” type thing. Once upon a time I was vehemently opposed to high elves. My stance has softened since and now I think if people want them as an extra race, so be it, and good luck to them.
My issue is this is all too often presented as “I want this race instead of the one you got that you like”, and that’s where I get peeved. Because you’re moving your stance from “I’d like something I want” to “I’d like something I want and it’s right that it takes priority over what you want” which is just incredibly narrow minded. If we follow this logic players who like minority stuff would never get anything at all which simply isn’t fair.

Sounds overpowered.

Strange because when I first heard of people wanting Mechagnomes it was in Wrath when they were the only ones that existed.

Yeah! People WANTED Mechagnomes. Anyone saying otherwise is lying. The only problem is that those are halfbreed cyborgs.

Should have added the Setthrak that hates vulperas. Unique models and culture.

Mechalul were a waste of AR slot
