Is it possible to scale BFA content back to 50?

As title asks, is it possible to scale it back to 50? Cause I just wanna chill while grinding the pathfinder achievement and I don’t find it particularly chill with elite mobs being extreme sponges for me now.

What? Do BfA scales up to 60 now? That’s a downer.

It does for me, I haven’t gone into a raid or dg to try it out there but world content is now 60 and it’s going to make soloing the “formerly harder” world quests a colossal pain in the [other word of a rear hind].

If Blizzard would happen to read this, I wanna have chromie time that scales it back to 50.

[edit]

Alternatively, remove the stupid pathfinder achievement for unlocking flying.

Hmmm, maybe I’m in chromie time and I just don’t know about it.
Gonna go visit Chromie real quick and test it.

[edit2]

I talked to Chromie, I can’t select any chromie time what so ever so I have no idea if I am in chromie time or not. Don’t remember how I started BFA’s quest stuff.

It might just be a temporary thing Sally, because the game is now balanced around players being up to level 70, but there is a temporary cap at 60 for the next two weeks.

I don’t think it’s a screwup. It’s a natural transitional phase between expansions and you’re being unreasonable. I think the tone of your post says it all.

Well whatever the reason they got for doing this I don’t like it one bit. I wanted to wrap up the storylines that are locked off inside of raid content that I can’t do solo just yet and figured that with DF the level disparity of 20 levels ought to be enough to get me to be able to solo it and finish up the storylines but if it is going to be a level disparity of 10 levels even with DF then I dunno if I’ll ever be able to do that content.

BFA scaling to 60 should be a chromie time thing that you opt into, not mandatorily enforced upon everyone.

U will gain massive amounts of power when you reach level 70 and 400+ ilvl. You will solo destroy all BfA raids.

What kind of logic is that? WoD scales to 40, Legion to 45, and then BfA up to 60? Nah, it is a screw-up. And Blizzard being Blizzard, it wont be fixed.

Have a search for legacy raid groups on the group finder. People form groups for the BfA raids all the time, often for transmog. I’ve done Nyalotha Mythic many times this season.

Also if you just want to do it for story, remember you can still queue for the LFR version and that counts towards story quests.

I’m worried about a group like that being all stressy and sweaty about gottamovefastgogogogogo and so I won’t be able to take my time and listen to dialogue and stuff because of it.

And @cutebrews; That’s implying I’m going to get 400+ ilvl gear. I’m new to retail and I have no idea how difficult or tryhardy that is going to be and how long it is going to take to get that stuff before I can actually solo BFA raids scaled to 60. Might have forgotten a bunch of the story details by then and not clearly remember the context for why I’m going in there in the first place.

I’ve heard that before same song and dance oh it will be better at 70 - 80 - 90 - 100 … opps we screwed up again and you can’t solo it anyway …

BfA is the default leveling experience outside of Chromie time. It has to go up to 60 so that people can reach Dragonflight levels. This is not a bug.

then stick the scaling in sodding midget time don’t impact the expansion that is f’ing lvl 50 sighs

They’re usually pretty chill but groups do vary.

Wait until you are level 70, and then see tbh.
Maybe they could introduce some sort of legacy content scaling, once you hit 60

I’ll have to give it a try then.
Then again, if it is now scaled to 60 doesn’t that require a proper full raid team?

So BfA becoming upscaled to level 60 among with Shadowlands… This is not the first time two consecutive expansions are being scaled together levelwise. Although the gap from level 45 to 60 is unnatural, it isn’t new.

Remembering how it was before Shadowlands prepatch, and 120 was max level. Vanilla went to 60, then TBC and WotLK shared 60-80, Cataclysm 80-85, MoP 85-90, WoD 90-100, Legion 100-110, and BfA 110-120. Only WoD and onwards got the common pattern of ten levels each.

I did looked forward to farming BfA content, so this change to indeed sucks as all chars needs to get to 70 and become well geared again before being capable of anything in regards to that content.

I just thought about something. If BFA is the intended “leveling experience” after Exile’s Reach to get to 60 then… What does that make Shadowlands exactly? Will it be scaled from 10-60 as well or will it be 50-60?

If they scale it to 50 then they have to make shadowlands mandatory for 50-60 which a lot more people will absolutely not like. It’s fine the way it is. You’re only complaining because you can’t finish it half asleep.

Not if they made it chromie time opt in that scales to 60.
And yeah, so what? That’s part of why I’m doing old content, because it is relaxing and not stressful.

Ok so I’m not an expert on ilvl stuff but at lvl 60 gear ilvl 80 isn’t comparable to other lvl 60 gear right? Especially if it is a blue item right? Cause I did a world quest and got a blue item that is ilvl 80.

I also find this scaling weird as there are enemies that are a bit more durable but no really spongy then we got other enemies that are honestly pretty easy for me in my ilvl 252 gear from the prepatch event.

But then we got elites and some world quest event bosses that got extreme sponge to their health.

I dunno if everything truly is scaled to 60 in the first place. The enemies lvl says they are 60 but it doesn’t feel that way to me.
Still haven’t tried soloing Atal’Dazar yet tho so I can’t comment on dg scaling but world content scaling feels all over the place.
