Is it rude to leave a m+ key if its your key

i tend to lean towards it not being rude. its your key, but you did waste someones time though, which is where “is it rude or not” comes in.

So you dont think its rude to waste peoples time?

I joined a weekly no leaver key once and the lead left after a wipe.

I laughed but its annoying to waste time like that.

As long as there was no explicit communication to all players for the intention of leaving if X happen, then ofc it’s rude.

It does not matter if you are the leader or not, still rude. Only way for it to not be rude is to communicate prior to everyone the conditions for you to leave. As long as you do that and they accept it, it’s totally fair.

It is rude. It doesn’t matter if it’s your key and if you were the one to put the effort and time to form the group. You abandoned the group before the completion of the agreed goal or the mutual dissolution of the party.

Cool name and simple. Yes even if its your key or not its consider rude to leave keys.

I’d say it depends on what the key was advertised as. If it was a weekly no leaver key, then yes it’s rude. If it was meant to be timed and the timer is no longer in reach, then I’d say it’s ok, BUT, I would communicate and tell the group that you’re gonna leave since the timer is gone anyways. And if you’re like at the last boss or something, just finish the thing for the vault (unless the last boss is some wall you keep wiping on).

Depends on a reason

Depends on the reason, really. Some groups really are hopeless, sometimes RL interferes, … in the end - it’s just a game.

Remove timer then 95 percent of the toxicity stops.

People leave because if it ain’t timed then it’s a waste of time

What a bunch of BS. Have you pugged a raid my friend? Cause 1 wipe = disband. And there is no timer there.

Annoying, rude? Perhaps but I honestly don’t pay much attention to it.
Having somebody suddenly fart and leave group is the cost of doing business with pugs…

So the way the key system works, you are bearing almost the entire risk of failure alone, so it’s way less rude than if someone else randomly left. It’s still a bit rude, but not as rude as leaving after you joined it.

Wait till next season till the punishment system start working :grinning::grinning: you will never leave be it your own or someone elses key.
You don’t want to be marked for death.

Oh lord this made me laugh, goes against all he advertised for, what a legend. Kinda waste of time for the rest, and that sucks, but this was funny

Eh. life with pugs. Had my own “weekly chill +10 ML” run where some random spriest didnt even bother to kite those small adds which locked on to him at 2nd boss. Died 2 or 3 times to it.
After we killed the boss, guy just raged that “why nobody helped him and /ragequit”.

Would have been indeed hilarious if it wasnt a time waste.

Yup, remember when I did low keys as well with pugs, it’s like playing with extra affixes.

Don’t see much of those mistakes in 15-16s, sure there is some minor fails that brick the whole key. But I prefer 12s as my weekly go to, due to no Xalatath affix, as it’s just annoying, and it gives max crests.

but sure, there is loads to see there to. That’s why I found some dudes I’ve been playing with, so i don’t have to deal with those issues anymore. Looking forward to s3 tho, we might need to pug 1-2 dpser to fill the group, gonna be interesting.

Ah yes. I also prefer +12s for your weekly chore/vault. That kiss/curse affix is sometimes more annoying to deal with than with adds/bosses simply hitting you more for raw damage.

Exactly my point as well, but somewhere the alts must go to, when no one wanna accept, or your friends aren’t available for a carry :stuck_out_tongue: Oh the horrors…
