Is it time for a 3rd faction?

Personally im not a big friend of this whole Horde and Alliance being all friendly.

I was into the franchise since Warcraft 2 (yes im old) and i loved the Humand vs Orcs thing growing up to the Horde v Alliance…i love some good faction wars and rivalries…tho i personally dont see anyway how this rivalry between the horde and Alliance can come back…so would it be time for a 3rd faction ? A new playable faction with perhaps a new race that is only for this faction to play to get a feel for the War in Warcraft again ?

ye wont happen. no one would play it if it means you cant joinpugs/m+ groups with others.

There are factions in this game?

Because faction war is such a good story whe dint have and was so vell recived
And after that changes, blizzad wont just makle a third faction only for a minoryt of palyers- the story of warcraft in 20 year is not only overcome great danger but also old hatred, old grundes and prejudices.
Fight together- for azeroth.

And i the are many who dint liek taht but is still better as a continues stages of war- with no winer

Factions were DOA. Only reasons it held out this far is idiocy and because WoW lucked out and blew up.

Already back in vanilla the playerbase were actively avoiding the faction system by flocking the dominant sides on the servers.

Factions should be disbanded completely, they have no place in current day wow.

Time and time again (go check classics) it’s been proven that people flock to server/faction that is dominating.

Personally, I’d like to see the Faction barriers stay in place for the sake for immersion and the people who are very set in their Horde Vs. Alliance ways.

But they should at the same time allow an option for people to start earning favor with the opposite faction, allowing them to become allied with them, effectively removing the faction barrier.

This would satisfy both groups, as those who don’t wish to mingle with the opposite faction, wouldn’t be force to. And people who wants to, can open relations with them and begin the process of becoming friendly with them.

they are bros now and it is probably not going to change as they have now allowed you to domcertain activities with opposite faction . rather then wasting time on third faction .it could be very well spent in making new classes and races instead .

This is the perfect way to deal with it. Personally, I’m Horde through and through but Dark Irons are my favourite race so I play both. I’d love to have my DI army of toons become allied with the Horde.

It’s probably just time to say farewell to factions as we knew them. There’s no battle, there’s no rivalry, Warmode is disabled for the vast majority of the players, … people don’t care for it as it’s only an inconvenience and a reason queues take longer.

Honestly, I would’ve loved a third faction during BFA, because I aggressively didn’t care for faction conflict and just wanted to play with my friends regardless of faction. So I really wanted, like, an Argent Crusade/Earthen Ring/Cenarion Circle faction in which I could just ignore the war and have fun. :joy:

What about, imagine this for example:

The Infinite dragonflight, or a parallel version of it, tries to push Azeroth back to when Horde and Alliance were still at war with one another, instead it causes the factions to fracture in 5.
1 - the original races / Horde - Alliance
2 - the allied races / Having “never” allied, they form their own groups, but are unfriendly to their previous group and still hated by the other side.
3 - the 2 races who are active on both sides, are now cut off and unfriendly/hated by all above. They need to find their way around or retreat back to their own respective capitals for services. (similar way that all other races are unable to go to these places)
But the 2 races are neutral /friendly to each other.

Once the event is over, the timeline is restored to the way it was.
A big “stir things up” event as it were?

edit:
This could be a reoccurring PVE - PVP event, depending on your choices.
Those who put warmode on have a huge amount of other players to fight with, even “their own side” as it were. These players can pick the quests from the infinite dragonflight to spread the chaos and join in.
Where as those others can pick the quests from the bronze dragonflight to restore peace and find a way to restore time as it should be.

Instanced things like dungeons, M+, raids etc. are ignored by this event so people can queue as normal, regardless of this event and cross play. AH and crafting work orders are also not effected by this. Just to not limit the player too much from this event.

Though, picking a side, infinite dragonflight or bronze dragonflight is a permanent option that sets the further quests you can take. “No backsies” so be careful who you side with.

Rewards could be from transmog items of classic to “infinitie dragonflight” reworks, timebadges etc. Or any other fitting reward for the event.

Blame the DEI and their agenda .
Since Bfa everything went down from lore-story and characters . From amazing characters that both sides had ( Saurfang-Varian-Cairne…and many more ) we went to every character-intro cutscene being a crybaby .

I don’t know but the early areas of lvling and questing was full of life -engaging and showing that there are 2 Factions .

Alliance quest/lving areas full of conflict with Orcs-undeads .
Horde quest/lving areas full of conflict with Humans-Night elfs .

Right now is a combined force that we kill some spiders where more than half of the quest we collect rainbows .

You understand by the quests up until Mop how much effort they put with those 2 Factions.
