Same for my 4 favourite toons , all covenant choices were taken away from me.
They didn’t fit me , how I like things. Or even how I made my characters in TRP ( I’m a roleplayer) Like my rogue would have never been with Bastion If i had a " real " choice.
I think I initially levelled my alt army for extra chances at things like the Love Rocket. I got it before the changes came in to make your first try of the day the most likely to get it.
Mass farming drops was common back then.
I eventually just made my alts paladins because I really dislike playing other classes. So I just have a token one of each now.
I do like how they can all be in the same guild, on either faction.
What cant you do with punyelf that you can do with your other massives paladin toons army.

With the same paladin you can do m+ , raid, pvp, tmog farming etc
In WoD it made sense to have an alt army.
Not only super fast to lvl , you could print money in Garrisons.
On 14 toons on one realm I made millions. Just have treasure hunter perk on Each follower. Everyday I spent 25 minutes just putting my followers on new gold missions per toon.
Same thing in legion but to a lesser extent.

Often people have more characters because they want to do more than 2 professions

For collectors it’s very normal to have a bunch of alts. More chances of mounts, tmog etc. etc.
Some people for the looks, racials, etc.

If wow adopted the ff14 way it comes to professions.
1 character can do all professions , would people bother as much with alts ?

I don’t know about FF14. But i play at this moment 3 or 4 chars in M+. And it is very possible i play a couple different ones in the next season. Alts will always exist. If i calculate fast i played 8 different classes in Dragonflight.

I talked about crystal mecanics with a rriend yesterday, comparing with ff14
But I dont know how it can be implemented in game, lorewise.
With actual mecanics, shared tmog collection, interserver, interfaction.
Its useless to have more than 13 characters and its a cost and useless effort for servers.
It doesnt bother me if someone wants 56 lamborghinis but he needs to pay charges

While you’re doing something minor you have to understand that you are one of many that just keeps doing this thing for no reason. Being judgmental, insulting, whatever. It adds up. Just be better, like you were when you asked her more respectfully after. That’s all I asked. You don’t have to be a lover, lawyer or anything of the sort just to be a decent human being, thank you.
anywaaaay… for the thread, I think that they should just stop adding new levels. That’s all. Make 1-60 or 1-80 as it is now a tutorial for new players to the game(and class) and let it be. That way people can have their adventure and just have a horizontal progression path past that point.
