I only care about 1 character to get to 18 renown, i was wondering should i get renown 10n on an alt first then swap to main, is there any benefit to this?
I’m not sure I fully understand what you mean.
If you only care about rep on 1 character, just grind rep on that one.
It allows you to get ahead on your main with the storyline quests, so there’s at least some benefit to it.
I got my main to 10 renown first (My mistake, oh well), and then my alt overtook her with the rep bonus, and got to 20 first, double rep on a bunch of 2500 rep story-quests (Not to mention the weeklies and stuff) adds up really quickly.
It makes it a lot faster but it’s not really worth doing if you’re gonna get there eventually.
this is what i wanted to know, thanks. i guess its worth doing an alt first as echo raiders did
It was only worth it for them because they wanted it as early as possible. With the full quest line unlocked and no real reason for you to be racing to get it beyond just personal satisfaction I think you’d be better off just doing 1 character if you don’t intend to play the other one past getting the 10 renown.
There wasn’t much difference between me doing it on one char all the way through and guildies min/maxing it to get the buff via an alt for their main.
so are you saying i can just finish the campaign questline and be 18 renown? because i doubt that , and if thats the case, i still have to do dailies/weeklies and so on, i want to do as little as those as possible
