So I have to live with medium to low graphics because I can’t afford anything much better. My question is that if I buy an SSD and 8GB of RAM, will it improve my performance at all and how? Will I notice it?
So my current specs are:
i7 5500u
8GB RAM
1000 HDD
Geforce 840m
PS: The only game I ever play is WoW, or games with lower req such as doom 1, Diablo 2.
will do little to nothing for your framerate. for the ram, are you hitting full ram usage and having trouble with that? if yes, consider upgrading ram. if no, you’re okay on 8.
as for the ssd, it will do nothing for your framerates but it will dramatically improve the computer. loading screens in wow will get shorter, but the computer will also start much faster and boot programs much faster. it’ll make it feel like a new computer, much faster and snappier, but your framerate in games won’t change.
What @Retier said… unless you run WoW from an SSD, your game performance won’t change at all.
