Hi, i have not played for 2 months or so and left the hearth at 47-48, i have read that the system is changing in 8.2 and that new alts will have the first ring unlocked after Nazjatar quest. Does this apply to old characters aswell? I mean that if everyone that is below to 50 will start from the same spot after 8.2 hits. Would love some clarification.
Getting the heart to 50 will just mean bonus rolls will grant gold instead of Azerite. Personally, I’d go for it just to say I did it, but it’s not necessary at all to do in preparation for 8.2
You’ll get it really easy. No need to farm or anything. Just do 4 Islands weekly, emissaries and mission table.
Just to clarify: I only did these and occasional m+10 and pvp caps and started from lvl 107 after break from launch around the time when BoD released. I’ve had neck lvl 50 for 2 or 3 weeks now.
There won’t be any Heart of Azeroth lvl requierement for the essence system, so there’s no real reason to farm azerite until then.
Of course you’ll get an additional passive at lvl 55 and a 3rd one at lvl65, but most of the power will be obtained for free if you reach Nazjatar.
(Go to Nazjatar, do the intro quest, recieve a summon from Magni, get the HoA upgrade for essences. You may need to do the Champion of Azeroth 8.1 questline tho)
