Is LFR going to be more rewarding in Shadowlands?

It would be nice to have a reason to run it more than once again. Zero point when you get better gear from completing 4 world quests than LFR N’zoth.

No, it’s fine as it is for entry level gearing.

lfr already gives better rewards than it should.

Uh oh… I sense an evil presence coming. Trolls and elitists incoming. Hold onto your seats.

I agree though but I’ve debated this whole thing to death already, I won’t return. I wish you luck.

it should. if not is another victory for multi-booster-scums

The problem is the people who buy boosts, imagine being so bad at the game you need to buy Curve, 5 mask boost or a +15 M+ clear.

They literally require no real effort at all.

It should reward grey items really.

LFR is like getting a cheap Cheeseburger from a fancy Restaurant.
The more expensive stuff you buy, the better the reward is.

I know its a wierd way to compare things.

LFR is a story mode version of a raid, it shouldn’t be done for gear.

sure if your guild boost you to 465 dont require effort  otherwise they do

Certainly not , it already gives more than it should. Its entry gear and thats what it should be.

I have got most of my curves from pugs tho, 1 weekend is all it takes.

grabs future telling orb Orb says no

It really isn’t…

It’s current state is a disservice to both group finders and raiding.

The LFR is a delicate balancing act between trying to tell the game’s story, which takes place in raids for some utterly stupid reason, and not giving anyone reason to go there for gear, because people at higher difficulties, including normal, are there precisely because they want to avoid the cesspool.

Therefore its rewards must be awful and its social atmosphere is subpar just because of what it is and how it works.

As Ion correctly said recently, it isn’t always apparent when you remove a limitation, that that limitation caused some friction that’s actually good for the overall experience. And as he rightly said, LFR and LFD are perfect examples because they undermine the sense of world and put the socialisation into menus rather than in the world where it belongs in an MMORPG like WoW just in order to appeal to a subset of people who can make social contact but doesn’t want to even while playing one of the most inherently social games ever designed.

All I can say to LFR lovers is pray he doesn’t nerf LFR further. I can tell he gets what the problem is here.

Now not even normal is rewarding. If you improve their rewards you are not only bothering raiders, you are also bothering the most casual that want to do outdoor stuff instead of spending an hour plus tied to a LFR.
What it should be done with LFR is make it much easier, so a complete set of clickers can clean it easily at the lowest level. This year lfr wasnt harder than before, but it took into acount boosters as in legion, thats why it seems far worse.
If they make it easier it wont be a problem if its against outdoor content, as it would take the smae amount of time, and the most casuals would be able to enjoy what they love more without feeling forced to do one or the other.
Also I have been going to LFR for fun, going there wasnt not rewarding for me.

a lot of high end players buy boosts to gear their alts asap. A lot of people assume that if someone buy boosts he or she has to be terrible at the game. You are wrong.

Honestly LFR shouldn’t reward any gear whatsoever.

It should just be the ‘‘tourist mode’’ for ultra-casual players who just want to experience the story. There should be literally 0 incentive for anyone to run LFR besides just story.

High end players have guilds that do it for them, you are wrong.
