because it for sure feels like i am loot banned for atleast 3 dungeons after recieving an item.
You’re not. It’s just that sometimes random can feel like the most predictable thing.
For example I currently have a predictable power to constantly get nearly useless items.
For example I have Lady Waycrest’s ring 3 times. Due to increasing key levels I couldn’t trade any of them and they are all useless due to bad stats.
It’s great.
nah there is some system that lowers your chance i can almost gaurentee it. has to be.
not as bad as when personal loot was first introduced in WOD, I recall nearly going 7-10 dungeons with 0 loot
Its random. I did like 5 keys on friday and I got like 4/5 of them loot(directly from the chest, not getting traded over).
Next day on saturday, did around 7 keys. Got 1 piece.
Its RNG. Sometimes you get lucky, other times. Not so much.
Well they can tell us that its random, but in reality it might not be,which in case could be that once you get an item, you get lesser chance of getting an item next run, then more chance after that run, then more chance after the next one etc…what im saying is that once you get something your odds might fall off,and you start going up again with lower chances
or yeah might just really be random
Hope your luck turns around soon OP!
very unlucky day.
went to do laundry = all machines taken.
went to recycle plastic bottles = machine broken.
went to play wow loot = 404.
Fun fact about true RNG and the human mind. We can’t phantom it. In truth, our brain hates it with such a passion that it denies it.
“Patterns. There must be one. I will find it!” logs events “I found a pattern! Haha!” *spoiler alert: There was no pattern, just a misconception based on a bias. Aka: I always win, or I always lose, if I spin three times around and sing I win more… those kind of things.
It is hardwired into us, a part of our survival-mechanisms and functions since we fired our first synapse.
To believe that there is a pattern here, even if it is true RNG, is human nature at its finest.
You just got to fight that code in your brain and accept, that RNG actually is just that, RNG.
I kinda agree with the OP
I also only ever receive loot after 3-4 dungeons.
I have yet to receive 2 items in a row.
I even took the strategy of running 2 easy low key dungeons before I run a harder dungeon on a higher level to increase my chance of loot. Stupid enough it actually works…
Overall it will of course match the statistics with 2/5 but after you have received loot it sure feels like you will run the next 2 dungeons for nothing most likely. ![]()
I could be wrong, but I do not think there is any secret conspiracy here. Yesterday I ran bunch of keys on my monk, low keys mostly to catch him up.
Got 4 chest pieces in a row. Traded 3 of them, since 1st one was highest key and BiS stats.
Sometimes you just get unlucky. Accept it and if you can’t win luck game. You can win numbers game, run more keys.
Personal loot works like this. You see it in all its glory.
Its random but i also noticed that. Most often its 1 dungeon you get loot next 2 you get nothing ![]()
I’ve done probably over 20 keys on my paladin main and I still haven’t gotten a weapon yet. ![]()
First key on my DH alt: new weapon! Guess Blizz wants me to reroll to DH. ![]()
We are a cute class. Putting demons inside and stuff ![]()
2/5 is 40%. Not getting anything for the next 3 is pretty standard and kinda an expected result
Usually it is 1 item every 4 runs (if you are lucky) and it is the same wirst you already have.
40% of your runs you get something. Evening out on higher numbers of runs, obviously.
The old random is long gone , there is some bad-luck protection in place but i’m 100% sure they won’t reveal it or at least give us a hint on how it works .
In legion ppl complained a lot about getting the legendaries , there it all started this how u actually get loot .
another season were you whine about loot in first week on your monk and druid .
