Was just looking at the changes to MM hunter and from the looks of it, it is going to have so many keybinds that it cannot reasonably take many of the more active talents, am i just missing a pruned ability somewhere because my MM has basically no space with 3 additional buttons from talents and azerite neck nevermind gaining additional abilities in shadowlands.
half the problem here seems to be the fact that rapid fire is doing the same job as steady shot for whatever reason.
I was afraid of that as well, though it looks like I might manage now. I’ve constantly been adding buttons and combinations to make it better. I’ve also made several macros that should reduce the amount of buttons you need, and clique makes it even better.
So I started out with:
I kept having issues with keybinds on several classes so I expanded this. First I bound misdirect to “Alt + LMB” via clique, and then made my skillbar 2 slots wider for 4 extra binds. This meant that I could expand to the 6 and alt 6, and I’ve added Alt+R and Alt+F.
It still wasn’t enough though, so I’ve also added F1, F2 and F3 for keybinds. I couldn’t bind any further, because I’ve bound F4~F8 to oPie wheels to put even more stuff on. Last week I’ve decided to bind Hunter’s Mark to Alt+Mousewheel up, and Feign Death to Alt+Mousewheel down, just to get a bit more control.
Next to that I have a few clique setups, currently ALT+LeftButton on an enemy with hovercast uses interrupt, which is useful for interrupting something that I haven’t targeted. In SL I will do the same for tranq shot but on Alt+RMB
For healing pots and health stones I’ve started using a macro:

/use [button:2] Healthstone
/stopmacro [button:2]
/castsequence reset=combat Abyssal Healing Potion, Healthstone
Uses healing pot and if right click is used, healthstones. Right click lets me use healthstones directly, though I’ve still got a slot to bind it atm (might change).
This is my current setup, though I’ve primarily been playing epic battlegrounds, so it’s a bit different from what I’ll be using in SL: https://i.imgur.com/D7Gp5sm.png
The take from this is: be creative with what you can do with your keybinds. There are addons and macro abilities that make it possible to reduce the amount of (hard) keybinds you’ll need. I’ll probably be swapping spells and which slot they have in SL until it feels natural.

u guys have not ever heard about all in 1 macro for MM hunters ? u just click 1 same botttom and macro will do hole rotation for you …
i use all in one macros for MM , BM , WW monk , fury warrior , arms warrior , blood dk , frost dk , unholy Dk , DH havic , even magees and warlocks 
I’ve heard off it, but I also play beyond LFR, so I can’t use it.
But why tho?
With all due respect but using that seems boring AF. I already think BM is boring as is, but it still requieres you to do some things, but pressing only 1 button for the whole rotation? That sounds very un-fun. For my taste ofc, everybody enjoys the game their way, not judging.

Nonetheless there’s still people out there who do such things and I honestly don’t get it. It’s like “playing” those mobile games that do everything by themselves.
I dont use keybinds, so not a problem here 
Get a Battle Mouse. I have the normal 1 - 12 on my battle mouse and I have an additional Shift + 1 - 12. Then I have Q,E,R,T,Y,F,G,H,X,C,V,B and Shift + Q,E,R,T,Y,F,G,H,X,C,V,B
That gives you a total of 48 Keybind options and I have not even mentioned my none action keybinds like P or Shift +P for macros that clears the screen and reset focus etc.
And if you really need to have MORE keybinds then you can also use Cnrl + all above.
