Don’t listen this guys. WoW have outdated quadratic graphic from early 2000-sh and in general not something highly changes since classic, i mean “wow” effect, breakthrough. All playing in this MMORPG for another reasons. The main problem is in old engine, any slighty graphic increase cost a lot for players, they even add loading screens in SL, coz its just so heavy right now thats u need NASA PC on liquid nitrogen to play with seamless open world. Even their servers don’t hold on any mass PvP fights, coz of engine.

You do have to keep in mind that AMD isn’t as advanced as Nvidia in their tech.
Resulting in the same kind of performance at the cost of power consumption and noise generation.
It’s why I opted out of buying a RX card.
If I bought it I needed a new power supply aswell.
Playing WoW on a GTX 1650 with the graphics slider set to 10 and MSAA x8, have 60 FPS in any content, only time it dips below 60 is sometimes in Boralus, and even then it doesn’t stay below for too long, RX 580 is around 30% faster than the GTX 1650, so you’ll have no trouble running max graphics settings with some kind of antialiasing.
So you’re safe yeah. ^^

That’s hearsay and very vague statements just to spread FUD. You don’t need a stronger power supply to run RX570 vs 1060 unless you were at the edege of tripping it with 1060 (which should never be the case). Polaris wasnt super energy efficient but wasnt also as bad as old gen. And due to mining the production was so high that the card prices at some point went hard down.
And for Ampere vs Navi 2 it looks like Navi 2 will use way less power. The question is at what performance.

Another reason I bought a new graphics card is because of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
I don’t know, it went from 500 RX series, to RX Vega series and now to 5000 series because why not.
I can confirm going from HDD to SSD removes texture load speed issues. Very noticeable for example when hearthing to Boralus, and smoother gameplay all around.

That was my mistake to assume that the 580 meant something from nvidia instead of ATI/AMD.
AMD’s 500 series is recent enough
