Ven ari rep and the Maw in general were not my preferite content…still, i think it is time to farm stygia.
Two quick questions;
there s a cap for stygia? I mean a real one, not the daily one based on eye of the jailer
do you foresee any chance that the stygia earned will be resetted next patch?

And why should they reset it next patch? That wouldn’t make sense at all.
They might do what they did with titan residuum in BFA and exponentially increase the costs for sockets/conduits. That’s why the highest end raiding community are currently saving stygia for next tier if blizz will not do that.

As for the second question… No one knows yet. I am really hoping we are going to see something definitive on the subject during Blizzcon. I’m gonna socket my last couple items in the coming week or two, I would really appreciate getting a heads up on whether it’s safe for me to not bother with Maw ‘content’ for the rest of the season, because this could go a number of ways… It could remain unchanged for Season 2, it could get inflated like Residuum, or the sockets and conduit upgrades could be moved to an entirely different grind that’s introduced in the new patch, like Relinquished gear got moved from the Broken Shore to Argus in Legion.
For that very reason they would do it.
And can i store “spatial reallignement apparatus” to craft season 2 pvp gear once obtained? Once you buy apparatus you have some restrictions on using them?
The only thing that you should be concerned about is that the more stygia you have, the more you are at risk of losing whenever you die in the maw.
Especially when they put your corpse in a place you cannot reach. I’d be annoyed if several 1000 stygia were sat there irretrievable

Still doesn’t change the fact that at times they put your corpse in a place that cannot be reached (happened to me 3 or 4 times in SL and I’m sure others can relate)
How do you die in the Maw in the first place.
Never had a 160 geared alt? Never DC’ed. Never been attacked by a group of Alliance (WM on) . Never had someone pull the whole map and then leave you to deal with it. S–t happens.
I don’t do WM. And I never overextend. And no. Never Dced in the Maw, surprisingly enough.
There’s not a single place you cannot reach with Gravity Well and a Glider.
How about underground? I once blinked, fell through textures and died. Corpse stayed underground even after I respawned.
That’s blink for you, it might not move you forward at all or just put you through objects where you proceed to fall. It’s pretty buggy.
I can’t even blink across the bridge outside of the AH in Iron Forge bridge as blink drops me down into the vent hole because it treats that bridge like a transparent bush.
No cap I know off, but the bigger question for me is (maybe I missed this being discussed somewhere)
Is the eye of the Jailer going away in 9.1 as a mechanism? It’s there to force people out of the Maw, but with a lot of new content going in there with the 9.1 patch, including mounting for everyone it doesn’t make sense that they would keep it.
Didn’t they already say that those socket creating items would only work on items from this patch?

Here you just some kind of slowfall while you make your way through below the buttom by abusing freeze macro, gravity well and glider.
There is no stygia cap but stygia will not be used as a currency on the next patch so if you decide it’s time to start farming, get all the items you can with srtygia. No point in stacking it.
Personally since I have gems on the items I want, I have started purchasing conduits. Already on my 3rd 226 conduit.
