Nope not in the slightest, just merely stating that Blizzard will not increase the limit because as it stands, you need a second account for more than 50, and therefore more subs for Blizzard.
All other problems you mention are, to Blizzard, irrelevant, as all they want is the 2nd sub.

Most of those are probably sheeple who just say that because they think Master Ion is behind them when he broached the subject with a tone of incredulity at people who do have that many characters.
People do that all the time, if they feel they have ‘official’ backing.
It’s like the infamous “Horde is there for you if you want to play High Elf.” People just love being ‘right’, even if they don’t have any investment in the matter.
It just wouldn’t effect people at all if they increased the cap to say 75 or 100, but they just want to dismiss people and often mock them. It’s very perculiar that people do that specifically about characters in this game, and there must be an explanation for it if one digs a little.
It might be some curious hold-over from back in the day when it was rather an achievement having a large amount of max level alts-- and maybe they perceive it as showing off in some way saying “I need more space because I’ve got so many characters.”. Of course now it is no achievement at all and it is indeed extremely easy to raise a huge army of characters.
Characters are everything in MMORGs of course. So it makes sense.
I have the same amount of time that anyone who farms m+ or raids regularly have. I just do other things with my time.
Is it so unreasonable to want to enjoy all the playable characters? To me it seems completely expected within the realm of an RPG.
I like to see all the Druid choices, Paladin… and races, and male and female of each. A Gnome Warlock and Troll Warlock may be the same class, but oh they are aesthetically and thematically a world apart. Even a Darkspear Troll Warlock is quite different to a Sand Troll Warlock. A Bronzebeard Dwarf Shaman compared to a Wildhammer Shaman.
We’re not talking about serious RP here either, but rather people who just want to engross in a fantasy world-- which kind of is why a lot of people play RPGs?
Ah ok, so good so far… the altaholics can hope though
