I just started doing M+ very recently so perhaps there are few things i might be missing.
I have a helm and pants upgrades sitting in my bank waiting for the catalyst weekly reset to convert to tier
am i missing something here ?
is there any other way to get tier sets in m+ ??
The Vault has a chance to give you tier sets as well as your ability to convert in the Catalyst.
yes, catalyst ZM can be usable for items from M+
Yea i’m aware of the vault
but that’s also tied to luck on a weekly reset
i’m specifically referring to the upgrades eating dust in my bank…
this is bad design !
perhaps they should increase the flux cost with every item per week and remove the 1 item limitation.
You should have 4 charges of the catalyst with next reset

Okay, so i am missing something.

Since the catalyst opened we got 1 charge per week. When you do not use it your charge stays available. I lost count but i think we are now 3 weeks in so we got 3 charges. Next reset we get another, which means everyone can create their 4 set instantly 
13th April it started, so we are on the fourth week, tomorrow will be the fifth

my scenario is different,
as i said, up until last week i wasn’t planning to do m+, so i ugpraded some Antros/ZM 246 items
but then i started getting upgrades for m+ and i feel punished for it
you should be able to instantly craft 3 pieces in catalyst now wihotu cd i think .
surely you can wait till tomorrow to craft 4 set
well set is valued much more then itlv anyway so its muhcmore important to craft 246 pieces instantly and then wait a bit for upgrades to be changed.

that is my point.
I already have my 4 set, however my items are capped at 246/259 ilvl (ZM/Antros gear)
it just annoys me that everytime i visit my bank i see my already acquired mythic+ 262 (upgradeable) ilvl gear eating dust waiting for weekly resets just because i don’t want to lose my 4 set.
now i’m hoping to get a 278 shoulder from vault tomorrow, and with a bit of extra luck it’ll be a tier
else i’m going to be screwed for another week stuck with a 246 shoulder…
just keep collecting gear in the bank, once u get the tierset at 278, eventualy u can use the charges to craft the transmogset from the raid instead of farming it on purpose.
hopefully this will be true for the LFR version aswell as i dont want to go in there anytime soon 
I’m now certain that since this week I finished crafting the 4 set pieces I’ll definitely have a tier piece in the vault tomorrow just to mock me a bit.
