title says it all. Seems like golemagg is ded.
Ironforge.pro is only source, it’s not super accurate but gives a hint what at least raiding population looks like on servers.
As said, Ironforge is the only way but please keep in mind if HIGLY inaccurate and don’t take it like a bible like most seems to think.
Use the Census Addon and count your server pop yourself.
A rule of thumb is to take raiding population and add 5% to the Horde since there are more pvp players that never or rarely raid on Horde side
Try /who in game?
Thanks for the input. I found the ironforge page and made a character on every server with the most horde precentage, then checked the lfg addon. Seems like the entire game is dead. Either that or people dont wanna do content
i didnt know there is a census addon
I think, it is called Census Classic Plus for TBC or something like that. It counts all characters currently online.
It only seems to work on PvE realms for me. even doing it manually on PvP realms takes a long time.
If you count everybody, it takes forever, yes. This is not a PVE/PVP issue, but a population issue. It works fast on small realms. It used to be a bit faster, but Blizz fixed something, if I remember correctly. You can also only count Horde, if you are logged on with your Horde character. So to measure both Alliance and Horde on a PVP realm, you need two accounts. On a PVE realm, you can just use your Alliance and Horde characters (not simultaniously, though). Alas, it is the only reasonably accurate tool I know for measuring population.
Some realms have a low population and some have a high or even full one. It’s more like a faction spread issue as population is given in rough terms by Blizzard.
Right. What I meant is: The more people you have to count (e.g. the bigger your faction) the longer it takes.
Census is good for checking out how many people play at once, which matters more than overall raiders, at least to me.
