Hi, I’m having troubles with the new UI, I like the gryphon and wyvern bar updates, but I really struggle with the icons as they’re all very small and I can’t scale them to make them bigger.
I have sight issues and autism so it’s very difficult for me and I don’t think I can adjust to it, but all I can really seem to do is move the action bars and character portraits.
Open the Options screen and search for UI Scale
you can go to graphic options and use ui scaling or go to ui edit mode and click on each bar,and increase its size % on the slider.
The problem with that is you get overlay on various things, so unless even I’m missing something in being able to resize stuff such as the actual chat window (seems I can’t, but loot window is the old UI style and can be resized by clicking on the arrow on bottom right.)
I get the whole making this modern, some things though need changing. Accessibility options is dire at best and severely lacking compared to other MMO’s that has way more customisation. Point being ESO UI changed but still managed to put in more accessibility options than this company has. (Sooner Microsoft takes over and forces actual change in this for the game, the better really.)
The UI needs way more work and a load of extra customisation added to it such as bar size, bag size, menu icons resize, chat window resize, XP info on bar adjustable to increase size and font.
The old go into escape, options and then use that single UI slider in video options is not going to cut it anymore, that worked well for the old UI as other windows could be adjusted. The new UI doesn’t and that’s where issues come in.
So on that, devs need to work more on this UI, it should’ve had a expansion to mature with an option to use old UI and have those beta test the new UI until it was ready for next expansion.
That’s what should’ve happened and I do think that it should go back that way in a hotfix. I like the look of the new UI but there are issues with it and it’s not ready for a sole replacement right now.
So Blizzard, please bring back old UI for a choice and do keep working on the new UI and get it ready to what awesomeness it could be. At this moment, it’s not there.
