Is there a way to start a new alt without a title by default?

I hate running around for 15 minutes or so until I realize I have “the patient” affixed to my name.

You must be a very… Impatient person, in this case. Certainly not deserving of the title.

More forgetful than impatient. It used to be “Assistant Professor” and then “Jenkins”.

Or you could do it the easy way and just open your character tab, click on title tab and click on the very top “title” you see…

Indeed, all my characters are Elder. I just made a routine to set up my characters in a specific order as soon as I log on and changing titles is the first to go. No clue why it chooses Elder, but I don’t think there’s a way to get rid of it.

People have the weirdest of issues to make a fuss about. Who even actually cares about things like this? Just remove the title when you make a character. Takes iess than 5 seconds.

You need to setup your addons too, and it’s not like you would make a new character twice a day?

Yes, I have an assiduous alt routine upon first log due to altomania.

  • swap spec to desired spec
  • setup action bars from spellbook plus mount
  • hierlooms
  • learn FP toy
  • title
  • toggle “track mailbox”
  • head to mailbox for money/bags

go to character screen, move to titles tab, click, select ‘None’

I’m sorry, but do you really think I don’t know how to switch titles? I am asking if there’s a way to start with no title by default.

I wish it set none to default, too. My priest was meant to be a villain character in my stories, and finding out he had that title kind of devastated my immersion. :joy: Now I have my own character’s nameplate enabled just to make sure my titles are fine…

I guess that, for some reason, the Elder title is the default unless you don’t have it

get the faceless one title. It’s a lvl 120 title that you can use at lvl 1.

I personally wish it would keep the setting you choose. I keep setting my title to default, but for some reason when I log in on a character I have the “Faceless one” title set, eventhough I set it to default before countless times.
