A friend has a WOW account, but it is deactivated. They still play sometimes with the free access and say they aren’t sure about paying to reactivate it due to the cost. I wanted to buy them a gift card for xmas to reactivate it for a while and play over the xmas break
I searched the net and there are plenty of hits for blizzard gift cards, but they all end in pages that don’t exist anymore or out of stock notices.
Is there some way to gift account balance to someone else as a present, be it in the form or a physical card or electronic code or whatever?
Thanks for the reply. Do you know if that is the only way to do it these days?
Unless Im understanding incorrectly, I would need to login on xmas morning and purchase it because it emails the person right away?
I was hoping for some kind of way ideally that I could put in a physical card for opening on xmas morning
There doesn’t seem to be a way to set a date for emailing them that gift subscription, so there would be the same problem with birthdays of having to actually purchase it on the day?
Blizzard stopped making game cards a long time ago and now only make Blizzard balance cards.
They may sound the same but from memory game cards have enough for 2 months on them and balance cards have 20€, if it’s for the UK then it’s £20, which is two months plus a penny or two.
At least some years ago you could just give your own email address which will get sent the code for the game time. You can then give the code directly, make a custom christmas card or whatever.
Not 100% sure if that’s still the case as I haven’t bought game time directly in while.
