Is there usually a reasonable gear catch up during the week inbetween seasons?

Can I get gear good enough to get into m+ pushing or there is no chance to match the ppl, who farmed this season for vaults gear<

Currectnly there are catch ups for cach ups so. In fact all we do nowdays mostly is just playing catch up.

But my question is more like if I should bother farming the low gear I can get by the current “catch up” mechanics or if there will be some better gear available, because if I farm the current content, Im not getting anything close to what others have due to vaults and such, basically. Which obviously means Im not going to get any invites due to low item level.

I wouldnt bother new patch is coming out in like 2 weeks.

The schedule and rewards for the next patch are:

  • 6th of August:
    • Patch is released, but M+ and raids are not yet accessible.
    • Heroic dungeons drop 665 ilvl (adventurer 4/8) gear.
    • M+0 dungeons drop 681 ilvl (champion 1/8) gear. It’s not known whether these have a weekly or daily lock-out.
    • World boss is also already active and can drop stuff (probably also 681).
  • 13th of August:
    • M+ and raids unlocked.
    • M+2s start dropping gear at 684 ilvl I think,

So there’s no point in spending a lot of effort gearing up alts now, because in the 1st week of the patch, heroic dungeons and M+0s will let us catch up very quickly.

So apparently there Is 691 itemlvl ketchup gear in 11.2 so gearing in this game is waste od time.

Yes, I think delves are open immediately, and you can do M0 I think. Don’t worry dude, you’ll be fine.

Hmm, I don’t think you’ll really be pushing instantly week 2 though. Isn’t pushing what you do when you are geared, where you go for highscore

No chance if you want to push seriously
You want to have old tier set in mythic for that at least

That’s the most important time if you want to push high and play with skilled players.
It’s always was a rat race unless you have full team

Alright. Whether I play this season depends on Gamescom for me, so I’ll hold. Don’t see like a rational reason to push week 1. Sure, there are always rushers, but man. If I wanted to play competitive, I’d try to form a team anyway. Soloqueueing in LFG competitively sounds miserable to me. That’s sort of why I play all 3 roles. I don’t wanna deal with this type of mindset

Gearing as your primary goal is a waste of time, yes. But you don’t have to make gearing up your reason for playing the game.

Gear can be a means to an end, a way to achieve your goals and clear content.

You can just clear content when it becomes absolote it will save you lot of time.

Yes and you can drive the route of a marathon and beat any record time in your car.

Timing and context matters when setting personal goals.

It’s kind of hard to form a full team if you already don’t have one. My husband was trying and it was not possible (but he also plays in the daytime). If you would go for a title, you have to be in the race all the time as this way you will play with better players but it’s really miserable in my opinion. The whole system sucks nowadays

They dont becouse nobady can recognize if someone beat something when it was relevant or not there is no difference becouse rewards are still there and those what are not there doesnt matter becouse there is simply way too many of them.

If you can’t set personal goals and feel good about achieving them without external validation then you’re playing the wrong game.
