Every other expansion going forwards is trash as well, though. I’m not defending WotLK, it’s the best expansion to quit before you start deluding yourself that the game might become better later.

So I have to really? Did you forget your 20 posts about cataclysm being bad and that you dont want to play it? I mean / meant if you dont like the way its going forward just quit, noone cares about your forum rant.
Vanilla is not dead, quite the opposite. More and more people realize it’s worth playing.
To the people that do not want Classic Cata: how about you just dont play it and let others play it?
Seriously, what other options are there? To play Wotlk Classic forever, because it is so great? LOL 
I guess just feel free to stay on wotlk era and others can move on?
I just dont see why anyone would write “i hope they will not release cata classic”. A bit selfish isnt it?

I hate cata, but i am not against it coming. It will give me a personal reason to stop playing WoW again (stopped the week before BFA hit).

There will not be a phase 5, Ruby sanctum is confirmed to be added in phase 4 “weeks or months” after release.
No i’m telling you to enjoy the game while you can and after cata comes out quit if you dont like it. Can you think just a little bit before you start writing? Its boring to explain everything like to 6yo kid.

Excellent advice there old fruit. Play while you can, suck it up and quit.
A reasonable solution would be to advocate for permanent WotLK era servers so that those who do not wish to play retail WoW can continue to play classic and those who do can progress to their beloved Cataclysm servers and get busy with some serious raid logging. Everyone’s happy (save for those who forgot how truly awful Cataclysm was and are now viewing it through the misty lens of nostalgia, who are in for a rude awakening).

There is soooooo much more to do in Cata outside of raids than wotlk.
Wotlk is raidlog xpac.
And then this amazing thing happened, you may even recall it if you’re memory is nice and sharp.
There was a call for these things called Classic servers, and eventually Blizzard listened and provided them. The rest is history.

Yes you could also do Tol Barad daily quests and/or Tol Barad PvP if you really wanted to, oh and Archeology. Forgot about that one. The most boring, laborious and lacklustre minor profession in WoW history.

When people were raidloging in AQ and Naxx people said just wait for TBC and people wont be raidloging, in BT people said just wait for wrath and people wont be raidloging, the truth is we are to efficient for the old daily content to keep most people intressted they have done it once and for them there is no need to grind for lets say the mounts from the crusade dailies. Your prediction about cata having so much more to do outside of raids will hold up for a month or 2 and then most people will be back to raidloging again.

Maybe i just don’t have a good pov on raid logging since i don’t do that.
In that case, calling cata raidlog xpac and sitting smug thinking wotlk isn’t is kinda stupido
Personally i think if people have a problem with raid logging in an xpac, its probably they who are raid logging
