Is this content patch a joke?

I cant believe how bad this content patch is. K’aresh is ridiculously small and empty. World quests are poorly designed and simply annoying to do.
Phase diving is horrendous and pointless. All it is that you simply turn purple and loose ability to fly so that it takes longer to do anything. It adds nothing to gameplay, just turns turns you purple and makes you walk everywhere to waste your time.
This is probably the blandest patch in history of WoW.

This is ture, but it also doubles the zone in size without them having to put in work. Whatever.

Why? Instead you can teleport right next to every location where a WQ takes place. Pretty convenient if you ask me.

i agree with you.
they dont know the game anymore.
they made an empty zone that people skip 50% of it with flying.
and in undermine they made it so full of ugly things that i for example cant even look at it or go there,

That is subjective, I really like Undermine.

Well, I play only PvP and as season now began I push rating on specs I choose play. So to me rating is the content and has no limit. I think class balancing and some design related soloqs and their matchmakings and que times and the design of rated system and soloqs overall is a joke, but the content itself which is the rating in PvP for me is fine itself.

In fairness though, PvP could really use some new maps in Arena and Battlegrounds.
Take another of Blizzard’s games – StarCraft II – and it received a new map pool with every new Season because it helped keep the gameplay and strategies fresh.
Blizzard even seems to understand that for Mythic+ Dungeons in PvE – which also have ratings. New dungeons every Season helps keep the gameplay fresh.
There’s an absurdity to the fact that PvPers are still running around in Nagrand Arena and Arathi Basin that are older than some of the players themselves!
At least they could give them some new appearances or something.

Those new Ethereal appearances are low-key some of the coolest outfits Blizzard have made in a long long time. I imagine it’s some unpaid intern who was tasked to put together the irrelevant appearances for quest rewards and such that are usually rubbish, whilst the senior artists took care of the esteemed tier sets. And then the unpaid intern went to town and made something absolutely amazing whilst the senior artists produced some rubbish tier sets once again.
And the unpaid intern will be flipping burgers at McDonald’s in a few months because the gaming industry is still dealing with layoffs, so this may be the one and only time we’ll get to enjoy the fruits of the raw artistic talent.

Seriously though, Blizzard did a good job executing the art for this patch. It’s very on-point.

ofc that its subjective, but the point is that the amount of people that dont like undermine is way way more than those who likes it.
thats why most of the time its empty,. if it was good people would not leave and forget it for good when they are done with the quests and rewards

They are milking the last cows. The game has never been so bad than s3…

Even shadowlands was better than this

Undermine with that jazz music is a completelly ridiculous area that doesn’t even fit Wow. It’s like playing some GTA or something. I absolutely can’t stand that area. Karesh is depressive, I need to use “stinky bright potion” to sort of make it acceptable

thats true.
thats why i said they dont understand wow anymore

yes
i said something like this here a long time ago and they muted me.

in my opinion they are killing and keeping the game alive as the same time as much as they can so when the last cows goes out of milk they can close wow for good and move on something new for the next 20 years

Blandest? Mmmmh. Interesting word choice.

I still dislike 11.1 more than this one.
And then there’s the mother of all bad patches, as far as I am concerned: Patch 8.3 for BfA.
And we have the ‘legendary’ selfie cam patch from WoD.

But… Blandest… Yeah, maybe.

Today I went from "only you Champion can defeat the Void Lord and save the universe " to “don’t like your sort around here, go pick up
some poop” in one smooth campaign journey.
I did wonder at that point what the heck I was doing with my time.

Hmm, for arena for me atleast. The new map they added cage of carnage is by design really awful for healers and range and it favor melee heavily and remain extremely bad map to heal which is sad cause the look of it were cool, just the design of it how the map plays out is atrocious to say the least. Absolute nightmare to try position as heal or as range dps on it. So even the one new map what arena gained is mostly just bad, I would like see some better map to replace it. For battlegrounds we gained few new maps recently which I quite like actually, also new versions of ab and wsg. From new maps I’m big fan of gilneas and the new deephaul ravine and silvershard mines. So for bg maps I’m content but for arena for sure I would love to get rid of this cage of carnage and gain something more functional on its place.

A new epic bg map would be nice, I was getting kind of tired of the old ones, especially Wintergrasp I usually just /afk after I see that loading screen. :face_vomiting:
