You canât make custom groups in the LFG tool if you donât have it added. They did this to combat the advertisers but in all honesty, it probably hurt a lot of legitimate players and they just decided itâs worth it.
They could feel that itâs validated as it most likely brought down a host of false reports by players inadvertently (or spitefully you can decide) by right clicking and reporting the incorrect group.
Secondly there is another option to make groups but it is no longer used and this is not Blizzardâs fault that players no longer choose to use the LFG Channel like the good old days.
I believe there is possibly a third option which may be an addon, never used it myself so cannot confirm if you can create groups with this addon (used to be one way back in MoP).
To clarify it means you canât put a custom title. You can still list groups for any content using the drop down menu options.

This is not a good will interaction between a donator and a donatee, this is a financial transaction between a company and a customer.
This is fully on blizzard for demanding something for basic game functions that they cannot offer to the entirety of their paying customer base, which is an issue definately on their side.
That being said the reason for changing it to need a authenticator is not baseless and has merit, it just means that they weighed the options and decided to go for authenticator needs to be connected to make groups (probably to curb compromised accounts being used to sell boosts), but this is still a blizzard created problem which affects some of their paying customers, so their responsability to either provide a solution or make it abundantly clear that they are unable too due to regulations or whatever other reasons.
(Iâm talking specifically about needing the authenticator to do all these things btw, not about OPâs inaccessability to the app, that might be an unresolveable issue depending on a lot of factors)
The drop downs arenât available to players without an authenticator. We have the same thing if the group lead doesnât have one and wants to list someone elseâs key. We have to switch lead to someone who can do it.

They ended the Authenticator App and now use the BattleNet App for Authentication.
Can the OP run the BattleNet App in his country? Can they use a VPN on their phone to run it (the App not the game)?
To set up the authenticator/battle app you need to receive a single one time SMS code.
Its not an app issue, I have the app and it works. Its just that to setup that authenticator they need to send me an sms and blizzard is not able to do it, not sure why. I have asked them if I can use a different authenticator like Googleâs or Appleâs but I cant. I have accounts on all of metaâs social media platforms and on twitter too, its never a problem there when I need to receive a one time code on sms I get it from all those companies and this is the first time ive faced this issue.
Whatâs with the victimhood? I mean all you need to do is think logically. Whatâs the chances a bunch of Blizzard employees decided âWe donât like people from Pakistan, how can we punish them?â Itâs actually insulting to assume stuff like that and wrong.

So many entitled people in this thread⌠the OP is right to complain he is paying for a service that the company cannot provide fully, even more that most other US companies have no issue with this procedure in his countryâŚ
My 2 cents, can you select another country code for the phone number? If so, you might be able to buy a phone card (pretty sure it still exist somehow) and solve the issue?
Does the app need to read the sms? Or in other words, does the sms need to be received on the phone the app is installed on? If not you can just get one of these virtual online sms services. Cost you next to nothing.
As far as I recall the app doesnât read the SMS (which would require permissions to do so). You just get sent a code and you type it in to the app.
Not sure if using a virtual or another country SIM would work but could be worth a try. It might be that the app reads the SIM number in the phone as part of the vertication.
I am from pakistan too and the problem is not just confined to pakistan as far as what customer service has told me .there is an ongoing issue and it will be fixed when they fix it .
You cant do anything else other then to wait.
Also you can still play the game and still use party finder for doing content .
Not much a deal breaker in my book

It actually isnt . Im from pakistan too and the gm told me that the issue is with their sms authentication system and they have seen reports from other countries too and they have passed it on to their team to fix it .
the op is just being overly dramatic .having not contacted the support and assuming that a country is blocked .there is also another thread where somebody else also shared almost the exact same answer that i got from gm.
