Is this gonna be a thing for ever in wow?

like i wonder , we already gave enough feedback on how the idea of revamping old dungeons into m+ was not good due to many reasons mainly them being buggy for most of the time and not suitable for the m+ environment ( simply due to fact that they were designed 5/6 something years ago ) and not enough thought process was going through on how they would look like now with the current kit that players have . and so on …

is this gonna be a thing again in s2 ? s3 ? for ever ? i mean are we just gonna let them do this for ever ? idk … it just feels like another excuse to me to escape the job you applied to do as a developer . Comment down below your thoughts .

i would guess yes, because it helps them focus less on making more content.

instead they can just recycle old.

remember its not about player enjoyment.

it’s about keeping them logged in.

so essentially what your saying is they know how stupid the player base is that they will never quit under any circumstances , thats actually brilliant i never thought of that .

exactly that, don’t think for one second that doing anything they do is without much thought and reasoning.

I would loooooove to see more old dungeons on mplus!!! How you think “we” dont want this cause you dont want this!

Imagine strat mplus or brd on 2h timer would love to see this

Certainly better than playing the same dungeons for four seasons straight.

i hope this will be a thing
old dungeons and old items are cool

for example melandrus ring from cos give bonus auto attack damage
i love it
pandaria trinket or some other items

the best idea they did was fated raids, so they are viable whole expansion
and new mythic pool every season is refreshing

/e now if they scale whole old content (if you choose so at chromie)
you would see many peoples doing old quest and refresh old zones

just like they do in elder scroll online, u have there 3 hostile factions but u can do quest in every place

Blizzard will definitely want to be able to keep recycling old dungeons as opposed to making brand new ones.

So if you ask Blizzard, and Ion has said that, then yes, the intention is that this is the new philosophy and approach.

They listen to player feedback, but that’s never meant that they’ll do what player ask of them.

I think the outcry from players has to be huge for Blizzard to back down on this. And so far, despite the grumpiness and resentment for Halls of Valor and such, people do run those old dungeons.

So I suspect this will carry on in the next Season.

have you ever thought that maybe they should just design more dungeons instead of 8 for an entire expansion ? i mean they get paid money right ? cold heart cash for what exactly ? revamping old content ?

its like saying mercedes benz just came up with a new model but they for some reason decided to make the inner room of the car like back in 80s by using left over resources to give the customers a little refreshing nostalgia , while having a brand new engine and everything … like its not gonna make sense . like it dosnt right now

Well to be fair players have also been asking for years now to make to the old dungeons more relevant too.

I am not saying this is a good or bad thing as I don’t like the concept of M+ so don’t do it.

I like old dungeons being allowed in m+ atleast you wont have to do the same 6 dungeons the entire expansion and then never ever will see them again. Atleast we get some change of scenery.

But sadly yes older revamped dungeons never seem to get the same feeling as the original. Like ulduman. It used to be a ruin/cave system wich you could explore with multiple optional bosses. It felt like an actual dungeon like brd. But now it does feel like some quick themepark ride with less replayability.

Atleast dungeons will get swapped in a new season causing the lesser replayability to be less of an issue

Wasn’t it? Just because not every dungeon is suited well for mythic+, the idea itself is not bad. Also just because not everybody loves them, a lot of people does. For example I heard tips about tbc, wotlk, even vanilla dungeons people would love to try as mythic.

I give the feedback that i love old dungeons in M+

isnt that enough of a reason to stop it ? like idk it almost sounds like wearing a suit and tie while going on a sunny beach vacation , the m+ version of these dungeons dont make sense for a lot of reasons …

Take TJS for example , its a total mess the dungeon was so in beta that they had to literally rework half the dungeon to even make it close to somewhat a logical place for ppl who can do m+ , theres only 1 route for the dungeon , the mobs have a very weird and unscripted cast sequence ( sometimes they do what they want completely out of order ) the bosses had to be reworked almost all of them , the 3rd boss is still extremely buggy with all of her abilities , idk

like what more do you want to accept the fact that the idea just sucks because its not suitable for m+ i just mentioned like 6/7 very reliable ones and im not even halfway through . sometimes somethings might seem cute and exotic , but just because they look good simply dosnt mean they are the right purchase .

a lot of those bosses are just tank and spank though…

or kill in X order.

this is one thing i liked about ff14, as the game aged and new content came out they persistently increases the difficulty of the boss tactics…

so from newplayer to endgame, it feels like you are actually learning per encounter.

wow to me always kinda felt like they made the tactics to suit the encounter, it wasent about learning it was about looks.

Dungeons since MoP have had a timer and trash count in mind so this part of your post is not entirely accurate.

So in theory those dungeons are fine.

Although originally I would have liked Season 1 to just be DF dungeons. I think the pre-season was enough to quench my thirst on them.

Personally, I have haven’t had any real issue with them using the selected Dungeons for Season 1.

It gives each dungeon a different pace as they were designed during different eras of the game.

I’m happy for them to continue to do this.

Could work for sure.

The scope and layout it huge and would need a complete overall and might end up wrecking a good dungeon like they did with so many revamps

not sure how that would work as timer content tbh.
