Is this Resonant Echo content the worst ever?

No. I created this thread to object to pre-patch busy work…people pointed out it was trivialised and all I need to do was to park up in the “boss” area and AFK. That’s uncompelling too. Forgive me for wanting content that took some thought…it’s set in old zone, so no effort was wasted crafting a zone.

Now you’re just gaslighting. You original post is a complaint about hight costs. People gave you testimonies of how easy it is to earn the currency, and instead of agreeing that your whine was unjustified, you now “move the goal post”: actually, I was talking about busy work and compelling content!

I’m glad you think everything I write is serious and irony free, you’re making it a lot easier. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Waiting for Arthas to show up now. Geif pet!

Ah yes. All according to plan. Not at all switching when it backfired. Not one bit.

Don’t play open world content if you want challenging; the people who can barely start the game and play with only their toes need to be able to complete those.

I took a AFK mode approach and collected all pets and mount.
I logged off because this pre patch is awful just as any other pre patch.
I think there is too many cool games to waste time on World of warcraft pre patch.
I rather play those and wait till early access release day .

I rate the pre-patch 2/10 because of thousands of bugs, but the event itself is around 5 I think. Pretty much what I was expecting

The event itself is not the best but at least its 3 places if the old world with several activities…

Also there are lots of people so its fun.

Also its absolutely amazing and easy for alts to catch up. You can do one alt per afternoon. Have them all gear ready and with good bags for the expansion

i mean thas the slowest way to level up, remix can be done in an hour or 2 at the most

the event was fun but now it’s dead and impossible to do solo

The pre-patch IS a pretty simple event, but it’s not THAT simplistic hehe. There are rares that gives 200+ echoes, bosses give more, and the daily quests gave even more. :slightly_smiling_face:

Honestly we have an ABUNDANCE in currency. I have barely touched the event, and have gotten my heritage ring, as well as enough currency for both mounts + all pets.

So if I was able to buy all of that while barely touching the event, anyone can. :ok_hand:

Yeah it seems like the last few pre patches have been this way. For what it is, nothing is wrong with it. But it just feels a bit dull imo. :slightly_smiling_face:

I might have a different opinion than others… but the BFA pre-patch is one that I recall was 10/10 fun, since it had us hunting rares for pets, toys, tmog and mounts. And it had a great dramatic story going into it.

Hope we get something similar to that event again some day. :slightly_smiling_face:

Limited one time events should NOT have low RNG. You should be able to get everything within a reasonable time frame.

This Remembrance Event takes the cake with regards to the Recruit’s gear for Transmogs… people burning themselves out just trying to get them, in particular the shields and cloaks.

They should’ve been made available to buy off a vendor! The fact they “exist” for people leveling to a horrendous drop rate [get like one piece for every 20 objectives] is just obscene, nevermind the fact they’re well undertuned for people leveling ( ilvl 146 vs 227 heirloom @ level 59 ).

Buddy, you literally can afford a pet for 10k each day, and the mount within two days from just focusing on the dailies that give you 3000, the end boss 1400.

Each objective gives 200… hardly a grind for just the pets and mount.

OK, so reading this thread the considered opinion appears to be either, “Yeah. OK this content is pre-patch busy work,” or “No, I levelled my alts really, really quick and you can get the rewards super quick, even by AFK-ing in the boss spawn areas.” Both are true. They do not contradict one another.

Nutshell: reward heavy, over-incentivised, easy to farm poor uncompelling content. Typical pre-patch (of late).

It’s awful.
I managed to level 23 alts to max.
11 out of them already have 480 gear.
Just started another 2 warlocks. Each have 13k resude already from playing for an hour. (Haven’t even turned in the daily yet today)
Bought everything from the shop.
Have all the dalaran armor sets+weapon transmogs.
350k residual memories in reserve.

Now I’m trying to farm the recruit stuff.
I’m missing 2 pieces from cloth, a mallett and a shank.

Worst event ever.

I’ve never really “got” the prepatch stuff as my memory of every expansion is the combination of (a) excitement as it’s a countdown to the next expansion and themed around it, kind of like Advent counting down to Christmas but (b) it’s always an annoying lag fest of trying to kill a boss for irrelevant rewards.

My experience of all of these is basically not worth the effort, so this is no different tbh.

  • Quests have been changed from weekly to daily.
  • The amount of Residual Memories you receive per daily quest has increased to 3k from 1.5k.
  • You now get 1.4k Residual Memories per final boss kill, up from 500.
  • Mini-bosses and objectives have been balanced throughout the week.
  • Also mini-bosses and objectives give between 200-225 Residual Memories, up from 100.

…and yet you’re still complaining. If you don’t enjoy the event, just don’t participate - it’s really that simple. If you’re only getting 1 currency per kill, you must be playing a different game.

I’ve collected all the gear, bag slots, trinkets, rings, and necklaces for all classes and specs, and now I’m working on the same for my other characters that are still in Remix.

All I have left to get are one weapon appearance, the mount, and the three pets, and then I’m done.

I even downloaded a spreadsheet that someone shared on WoWhead, and it helped me a ton.

I hated the WotLK event much more, back in the day. It straight up made most of the game unplayable.
