I know it’s just pre-patch busy work…1 currency per kill and 10,000 required for one of the three pets, but is this the absolute worst? I can’t recall worse, more incentivised content, but maybe someone can remind me of worse I’ve simply blocked out.
I don’t expect a reply from Blizzard but maybe they’ll see this and reflect. Maybe…
You get 9k for doing three dailies, plus whatever you loot while doing the event. Not seeing the issue myself.
It’s a pretty bad and uninspired event, yeah, at least compared to how intuitive Legion’s pre-patch event was.

I dont know i have found it quite boring personally but i dont speak for everyone.
Its just a pre expansion event at the end of the day so its not the end of the world
Get a lowleveled alt, go park them at every objective. Don’t have to do anything other than stand in it and you’ll be swimming in the currency.
But you would have to, you know, do something. Shocker, i know. It’s hard to believe it’s an MMO, amirite?
They can do engaging content, when they want…but yeah it doesn’t matter much.
I don’t see it as any different as any other pre event tbh. I levelled every remaining unfinished char I had.
Got enough currency to buy all the things.
“Stand in it”…yeah, rewarding. However, it is a response to over-incentivised dreadful content.
I like it. The first 2 days were terrible, but after that they reacted nicely.
I would have added a few more pets, mounts and toys to the vendor.
OK, mate…but it’s just grinding the same…oh yeah…Warcraft. Heh. 
Minimum effort. If they made it so you had to actually participate in the progress of the objective, you’d see people here complain about having to play the game. People seem to want to play less and less but still get all the rewards without having to do anything. In an MMO.
I barely touched this event and I’m swiming in currency. Pretty soon I’ll have the Heirloom and all three pets. As far as horrible grinds go, this event doesn’t even crack top 1000.
No the first iteration was the worst, this is actually quite good.
Oh yeah at the start pretty awful and grindy, really needed to facilitate alts. Now it’s really smooth, especially after the last lot of boss health balancing.
The fact that you can swim in currency despite barely touching the content is not a recommendation quite the contrary. I just tossed this thread out to pass the time while I waited for the Echo of Onxyia to spawn. I went to the toilet and came back to a 1400 currency some Drake quest and realised I’d missed Onxyia but got the reward for just being here.
I’m cracking a beer and camping the next boss for the daily and forgetting a thread where people can defend the indefensible like Blizzard shills. I might play some HoTS later. 
I lvled a kul tiran shaman from 10-70 with the event and fairly sure not in the most efficient manner. Think time played on the shaman was 7ish hours and ended up with 70k of the currency.
You made the thread to complain about the high costs. Now it’s too easy? Which is it?
Well, I leveled and fully geared 7 alts in 10 days (few of which I haven’t even done the event)… so, no. It’s doing it’s job.
Trinkets are lame & annoying, but everything else is fine.
