Is this the Shadowlands Experience - even after the Campaigns?

What is holding them back? are they getting too ambitious?

I mean, GarbageLands is supposed to be a hell cosplay, right? I think Blizzard literally nailed it. Playing SL is hell. Until SL I thought my personal hell would be standing in a never ending line. Blizz changed this for me. Lets promise each other that once Dragonscheize is released, we will never talk about SL again and try to forget it ever happened.

Nah, you can skip most of it. I think you gotta do 5-10 quests and go ZM after this.
I did it recently and I haven’t seen anything from Korthia except some quests I did because I thought they were important for the main story line.

In general Shadowlands is really bad in how to play through the story. It has no clear path you can follow because you get bombarded with side quests and suddenly find yourself skipping storylines and spoiling yourself.
(same goes for BfA btw when you reach level 35 and 40 while questing)

I wish they could re-organize their whole system so you just choose “I want to see the whole story (in correct order)” for people that want to see it and a “I want only the necessary things to get endgame quickly”

Yes, 100%.

They are producing Skyrim, effectively, but bigger. More systems, bigger landmass, far more dialogue. They’re making new spells, dungeons, upgrading the graphics repeatedly, and worst of all they are not showing any progress except videos to the public, so interest in actually finishing it has waned significantly due to how long it takes.

And not only that, they are doing it twice at the same time - Skyblivion is a thing, too. In fairness though I suspect Skyblivion is much easier to make because it already shares a lot of systems with Skyrim, most notably having a lot less text.

But still… It’s actually completely mental.

And then there’s the music…
Not entirely sure how much they’ve produced but I know it’s over 10 hours!

Let’s just put it this way: They started a decade ago.

well as long as they are not leeching money from people like with Chronicles of Elyria, right?
