Thank you.
Horde has a lot of players with tons of qualities, and players who understand the problematics, such as yourself.
Sadly, the Herxes type are the ones why people relate to horde as mindless children.
Maybe there should be a realm with lv 40 max for those players, with foam weapon designs and cartoonish mobs?
Very much this, obviously they decided back than that 3000 players was some what the optimal amount of players. For good reason as well. Now we had an abducens of players + layers which basically wrecked a lot of things about classic in a very predicative way. Many people called out these issues and said we should already have smaller server from start, without layers as well. Really sad to see them not follow through on it. There are now so many players rouges going around playing the game solo farming people are at 100k+ honor within one week of world pvp. That is by all means quite crayze.
Furthermore we have spy add-ons making the game borderline impossible for anyone to play solo and have a good time. The moment you engage in any form of PvP action, as an alliance especially you are instantly pinged by every surrounding player hence tracked down with ez and likely swarmed within seconds.
I agree to some things, wpvp was different back in vanilla. You encountered more players from around your own lvl during questing, that was âhealthyâ pvp. Now raids of lvl 60s are hunting everything that breathes down, in every possible zone. Leveling/questing just isnât possible anymore. The wpvp you see right now is a whole lot different, itâs a bit suffocating at times, itâs 24/7 and everyone has that spy addon. Not to mention that every 60 has (full) epic gear⌠But at the same time, I love it. And I believe it wil normalize in a week or 2, right now itâs something ânewâ again.
It wasnât like that but the reality is people know more about the game and know what routes/areas to camp for max honor.
Additionally, the realm has a mega ton more people than it did on Vanila. As a result of the extreme population, resources are more scarce and therefore people need to farm longer. (So people are in zones farming herb/mining/waiting for respawns longer and therefore increasing presence in certain zones and therefore the likelihood one will see you and kill you).
Actually it was back in the day on the server I played on, only difference I see is 5 Alliance or Horde raids going into or out of BRM instead of 2 or 3 raid groups.
Raids/groups roaming all over the world? Yep, definitely happened and I often took part in small group roaming. Was it the most fun roaming all over the world? At first yes, but got boring pretty soon and found it was much more fun waiting for other people of my level while I was hiding in the Zeppelins/Boats.
Did FPâs get camped? A lot actually, mostly by small groups or a couple Rogues/Druids waiting for anyone to arrive and slaughter them 15 seconds after landing.
Corpse running towards dungeons while leveling? That was common on both sides.
Some 60âs roaming STV to kill lower levels? That never stopped
Mass battles for the chest in STV? Every single time the chest would spawn and it wasnât uncommon for people to fight an hour or longer to get it.
Iâm guessing my experience was different from what most others had experienced. WPvP was extremely alive back then on both sides.
The difference is that with a smaller group ganking/camping it was easier to form a counter group. Now it seems impossible due to huge faction imbalnce on the majority of the pvp servers and the raid groups camping places. The only place that I can remember being camped sometimes was in STV. And that was not all the time like it is nowadays.
Maybe read my reply again. Or do you think thereâs no difference between seeing 2 or 3 raids and 5 raids? I think thatâs a difference of 80 people.
On a side note, city raids often happened with hundreds of people going to raid a city and hundreds of people coming to defend their capitals.
As we learned pretty fast back in the day, that one or two raid groups easily get countered by the defending party during a city raid.
I can only talk about the experiences I have on the server I played on back in the day and the one I play on right now.
Back then, we were outnumbered but not on a massive scale until the end of TBC when Blizzard decided to merge our server with another one which ended up with a Alliance Horde ratio of 16/84 which also killed the server.
Itâs the first week of Honor being available, so of course most people are hyped and trying to farm as much as possible but will soon get burned out so theyâll wait for BGâs which will make it a lot easier to rank up.
The first night, literally everyone seemed to have been online that night and going in raid groups to kill anyone they would come across. I couldnât do anything but die for 4 hours straight and only kill a couple of them while trying to defend myself.
Oh hi there mr I got owned by a lvl 56 protpaladin in BS yesterday. Hows it going ^^
Sooner or later youâll be here whining about there being to few allies left to farm. Youâll be whining about queues for BGs and about dead servers and so on.
Ill be here then to remind you that it was you and players like you who caused it. Then Iâll own you in here just as hard as I owned you yesterday.
Man do you suck!
Itâs just a utter mess, people need to stop camping fpâs with whole raid groups and every fricking dungeonâŚ
More and more people will start to complain or even worse end their sub and then what ? Blizzard will step in and nobody will prolly like their solution.
Stick to tarren mill fights or outside city gates before itâs too late.
Did you play prior to battlegrounds being released, it was similar to this, every pve player out trying to pvp for weeks in the least honourable fashion, they stop wpvp as soon as bgs appear.
Not rly. It canât even be compared. The scale of what is happening now? Cantât even be compared. This is all over azeroth. All zones. There is no escape for the receiving side here. There is not an option of going somewhere else, play an alt or anything.
It is not even honour gain. There are simply not enoigh victims that give honour, so low lvl zones are under siege, in hope they will log their main in. It is EVERYWHERE!
When honor patch came in vanilla we fought for control in 2-3 zones. control going back and forth, and people always had the choice of saying âWell im **** in here, so i will go to anothr zone or play and altâ You could still play the game as you more or less pleased. Now you canât play the game at all. You can make a grp of 5-10 players do some quirilla tactics, hit and run things before the dominant side know you are there, and will come with 3-4-5x amount of players to farm you the rest of the day.
I am enjoying how much easier this is to get pvp. Especially as alliance. Very little travel time required, part of the reason for remaining on a full server. Those that donât enjoy it have server transfers, pve servers and BFA included for free with its safe zero battle for azeroth included.
