Is Torghast Fun for You?

Yes, characters will get higher gear over the expansion and gain more powers in torghast when they climb floors.

But higher floors also have higher difficulty scaling to your powers gained. That is the system of Torghast.

In theory, a 18-floor should take much longer time than 6-floor.

I think they abandoned the 18 floor idea. Its was something from Beta, with chek points but they scraped that.I might be wrong. But we are as it is just at 6 floor per layer.

I hate it with a passion. Its tedious, unrewarding and dull. And I fished up Magical Crawdad in TBC and the Sea Turtle in WotlK.

Hope they nerf the crap out of it so I can just get my dust and be done with it. Or give me something else where I can get my dust. What a hellish place…

I have the same feeling as you do.

I will never do it if it doesn’t give soul ash. And I will definitely not do it on all my chars on weekly basis.

or …crazy idea

maybe its time that people learned more of their toolkit that basic 5-6 dmg buttons.

in pve enviroment people very rarely have to even use any of other abilities they have becaue most of it is covered by tanks/healers.

i do think that pvpers have slight edge in thorgast as your average arena participant will know more buttons that his class has then your average pve player - mainly because due to how game is build pve content incentifies just amximum damage and maximum aoe every time possible - instead for example cc’ing and having general spacial avarness

luckily you dont have to do layer 8 of thorgast to get ash

you can farm level 2 forever

yes it will take you longer - but it will be ultra fast and easy

It isn’t for me, I just solo rush it every week and bye

it’s an island expedition with a boss at the end

no its insanely boring and a joke to go through even layer 6

Yes I enjoy it from time to time. The limited reward available each week reduces the risk of burning out so it can be enjoyable.

My only issue is that just as with just about ALL solo content in the entire game Blizzard made it DPS only, and instead of adapting the content to tanks and healers for those specs all they did was to reduce the health of mobs, which to me is a lazy solution.

But you can’t meet the weekly ash cap by doing level 2 forever. You need to complete the highest layer available in that week to get weekly ash cap, right?

Correct. You cant repeat the same layer and get ash from it.

Its boring there is no loot and it only exists to make/power legendary?

Can’t thank the ppl Blizzard listen to enough less loot, no loot and boring time gated end game for even casuals lol.

I was of the understanding that you had to complete all 6 floors per layer to get anything out of it. My noob mistake was bailing out at floor 5 on Skoldus Hall due to time constraints and getting absolutely jack out of it - yep, i felt a right fool lol

The issue with this Miscellaneous Content is they are always all trash. Rule of MMORPG - no one enjoys clearing trash. They should put bosses on each floor and if there must be trash it should take maximum 50% of time like a dungeon is paced, not 90% + 1 endboss.

No I don’t care what roguelikes are supposed to be like, I don’t play them, and on the iota of a chance I want to play them, I’d buy one from steam. I want MMORPG content in an MMORPG.

It would be ok if i hadnt spend 2 hours getting to stage 6 and then getting killed by a boss with 1.4m health and enrage after 2 minutes… so no i dont find it fun.

but you dont have to hit that cap if you lack skills .

it was bound to happen at some point that tanks at certain itlv wont be able to solo due to enrages

thats why you can aways take a dps with you - for example a squishy mage

this way you wont hit enrage and mage wont be squished by boss

if only you could do that …

in mmorpg …

grouping up… disgusting idea i know :joy:

Im not a tank. im havoc… and also i was grouping up with squishy mage. but this worm boss kept enraging because he had 1.4m health and our dps wasnt enough. My self heals couldnt keep me up and the worm was fast as hell, so i couldnt kite.
Gonna try again at some point but now i need to relax…2 hours wasted makes me wanna do something else

Rather agree, tbh.

The trash is never a challenge, you just bash it, sometimes CC something, occasionally have to dodge, back off, line of sight, etc. But none of it is ‘hard’.

Then the boss hits you for 1/3 your hp, while he’s sitting pretty on 250k health and it’s like… are these part of the same feature?
