I’m gonna be honest. It was REALLY fun the first few times. But as there are no rewards at the end of it I see little reason to go there when I don’t have to for the weekly cap. It doesn’t have to be a reward necessarily but maybe a class/spec leaderboard. Something to give it some purpose outside of Soul Ash. I feel like there’s a lot of unclaimed potential with Torghast. It could easily be so much more than it currently is.
I find myself doing a Torghast run whenever I’m bored or have downtime, just to see what Anima power combinations I can come up with. The content that’s been available so far has been trivial at best, and I’ve cleared everything on the first try. I think I have a grand total of 4 deaths in Torghast, where one of those was me being AFK while going to the bathroom and being killed by Assassins, and the other was my own fault for messing up traps.
Are you mistaking floor with layer? Every layer consists of 6 floors. And yes, you need to finish all 6 floors to complete a layer and get soul ash from that layer.
Completing a higher layer will automatically reward you the soul ash from all the lower layers. e.g. completing layer 4 will give you all ash from layer 1-4, completing layer 6 will give you all ash from layer 1-6.
In order to meet the weekly soul ash cap, we need to complete the highest layer available of the 2 open wings in that week. Not completing the max layer will not meet the weekly ash cap.
I love Torghast. Nothing negative about it for me. I even love that I only have to complete it once per wing per week, but I have unlimited attempts (unlike visions). I’m one of those people who will fall down and get right back up, learn from my misatkes and run into chaos over and over until I complete it, so it’s perfect for me.
Personally I don’t find it fun. It was fun in the first few runs, but then it quickly became repetitive. I tried it with my friend as well, but it didn’t help make the run more fun aside from us chatting.
I’m happy for people who enjoy it, but it appears that it’s not really my thing. The lack of rewards doesn’t help either, especially considering that each run takes at least thirty minutes on average.
Exactly. Just anything basically. I thought the Shadehound (Maw Mount) would drop from Torghast. That would have been enough for me to run it repeatedly.
I enjoy it for now but, with the amount of time a level 6 clear takes, i can see it getting boring fast. I wish there was a mechanism similar to Island expeditions, whereby you can obtain BoE gear to either transmog or sell. Higher levels could reward more currency / higher drop rate of said BoE transmog gear.
That bit i agree with - as for loving it, im on the fence there as its good fun instead of WQs. My negatives would be the RNG of the anima powers, but that could be turned around and called fun as they each present different challenges depending on your choice.
i will quote the Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp for my attitude towards the game in general “OK, it didnt go well, but we get up and we go again for the next game” Game in this example being Choreghast, M+, whatever i am doing and fail on initially
i always take them if they are available - another fun one that dropped for me during the Search For Baine Quest was where my owl servant could be summoned and acted as a pocket healer
When you do it as tank or healer, the mobs and boss hp is 1/2 of a dps. The boss hp is about 300k for tank/healer, and 600k for dps. It was the same in BFA visions.
I duo it with a friend as tank/healer duo, the boss is only 600k hp (the same hp for a solo dps) and extremely easy.
If you do it solo as vengeance, it will instantly becomes 10 times easier with a 300k hp boss. But the whole run itself is still extremely long and boring.
Well i feel like the scaling is badly off then. 1.4 mil for a boss and we had like 60k and 30k health. Also the damage the boss was doing to us and the speed. Oh well gonna try it again later switch to vengeance which i cant play but how hard can it be just sad i have to switch to get my ash
