Is void torrent and mind flay periodic damage or not?

There are no tags or explanations anywhere. Im searching it because of dark ascension that buffs non periodic damage. I want to know if its affected by dark ascension and I should use it during the buff or not.

Both of those spells get buffed by dark evangelism. So they count as periodic damage.

Mind Flay is channeled DoT and thus is periodic damage,
