Is Warrior finally a good solo PvP class in DF?

well, the rated bg ladder beg to differs, also my and many mages experience in sitting literally ages in q, and i mean, 3-4 hours to play a 1.6 game…

are we talk about rated bgs now?
Thought we are talking about solo PVP, which certainly is NOT rated bgs.
Aside from that, rbgs are more than dead.

i don’t know, how people still think we have this so called “mobility and escapes” we have, 1 blink. thats it.

1 blink that gets you out of every stun.

all the heals barriers and alter time, are dispellable, in fact, u can’t ever stay alive very long vs any class that has a dispell, sham, shaman for example

if dispel is your problem, try triple barrier leggo and generally just buff up when you prepare to use combust.
Aside from that when I spam dispel mages, I still fall behind because neither do I dmg nor can I keep up with the mana I burn through.

i tried with 52% versatility, and even from a full, db sheep, GREATER PYRO plus meteor combustion, in disc command proc, while stacking flamecannon, i could NOT kill a retribution paladin, sitting 10 item levels below me, i thought i was gonna force his bubble instantly, and then try to kite, but nah, he didn’t bubble or flash heal, he saved bubble for my next sheep so he wasted it randomly.

not sure how it is now, didn’t play pala for a while but last time mage pretty much hard countered ret palas.
of course as mage in 1v1 duels you have to reset like 10 times before something is dead. Did I say that is fun? No. it isn’t fun for either side, but eventually you win and if you win it means the class/spec isn’t bad.
WW, rogue and feral have to do the same stupid tactic to win basically all their duels. Straight head to head they would most likely also lose but these classes can reset indefinitely so they can win and desync their enemys def cds.

and warriors struggle only a little vs fire, they dominate frost and arcane, and fire against necro warrior that know what they are doing, not as easy at it sounds

cannot see how a warrior would win that fight considering you can counter all his cds whenever you want with a DB sheep or even a block.

mages have literally 3 lifes.

right now, you have to be mentally crazy to still play mage id say, its in one of his worst states, im siting beta with 200ms since first day it came out, or playing my shadowpriest, wich feels more mobile, has better ccs, does more aoe dmg, and kills targets more easily thanks to psyfiend, and no im not hinting that spriest is op or anything

try playing arcane or frost mage LITERALLY busted on ptr/beta one shotting people left and right or just jumping around with instant casts.

u mentioned mage in bg, i was incline to stick to solo

can link u a good warrior vs mage duel in 9.2 (last season)

spamming dispell is not rly not doing dps, since every shield u dispell is like 15k dps every global i guess also taking away alter and hot streak too, i wouldn’t even care about combustion get dispelled, as much literally anything but slowfall gets dispelled

It’s best not to make my mistake and engage with Nakamura. He caught me on a bad day, so I let myself get baited into trying to arguing with a village idiot. It doesn’t matter if the whole world is telling him the same thing, he’ll still keep sticking to his own opinion.

Just to get back on point. My whole point with this post was that I have been wanting to play Warrior for a few years now, and like some others I have kind of been avoiding it… Warrior currently feel like a “team class”, that require a healer babysitting you.

Dragonflight doesn’t seem to have that issue however. And I hope it opens up the way for people, who also wishes to give Warrior a go in solo PvP situations, where it doesn’t feel frustrating to play without team mates.
