I really want to make machinimas and so i learned i need the wow model viewer program but i dont know if its safe. I wanna know what the users of it think ab it

Never had problems with it.
Currently though the Dragonflight version of the software doesn’t allow you to load player characters properly so people need to torrent SL for that, which understandably might make folks uncomfortable.
There is also Narcissus which does the same things as wow model viewer, such as implementing a greenscreen or getting characters to perform actions/models etc etc
That’s not at all what WMV is for my man. It’s for importing WoW models (including custom characters) for use in Blender, and to a lesser degree for finding models for building on servers like Epsilon

It’s for both, honestly. Or if you’re bored, just using it to scrape through all the surplus armor sets and cosmetics in the game files the devs refuse to implement.
Edit: I will never not take a moment to remind everyone that the Lord Walden top hat and glasses combo have existed as a rigged and ready to go head slot for every race and gender combo since Cataclysm. They also keep updating it for newer races, probably due to some automated process but it still no less vexing.

Just be wary that you may need to repair your game files after every use of it as it can act weirdly.
But this is talking from experience back in WoD/Legion time, haven’t played with it for a while.
Never open battle.net and/or warcraft when using WMV 'cause it will cause your game to corrupt and need repairing.
