just roll a WW monk, and holy hell ,are they supposed to be this low on damage at the start?
I mean, they’re not in their happy place right now, but WW wasn’t awful when I was doing 110-120 in 8.0.
What level are you actually at? I remember enjoying pinballing my way between mobs on the levelling grind.
My damage output is fine. It is just important to remember that sustained damage is lower than average, and our burst is stronger than average.
Level as mist weaver until level 24 (when you get the chi cost reduction on bok down to 1 chi). Between 10 and 24 MW is faster due to teachings of the monastery, no cost bok and RSK resets. Even with multiple mobs MW is faster as a fully charged Bok will one-shot most mobs at this level range, so unless FoF kills them all in one channel, you make up the speed due to your single target kill speed.
After this WW is better as Bok becomes spammable. It only gets faster as you level tbh. I’ve never found monk particularly slow to level and I’ve raised a few. At max level I pretty much insta delete most non elites and haven’t found an elite I can’t solo without breaking a sweat at all. The only things I can’t so far are boss mobs in naz, but I’ve soloed the world bosses for WQs in other bfa zones.
Now in dungeons and raids? Different story. Let’s just say when we get close to our ceiling it doesn’t shift very easily and sits a bit lower than others, who continue to scale quite well. We’re not pants, but the competition does show us up outside of burst windows.
