So I was farming specifically Verdant Wilds because this is where one of the only missing items is dropping. I achieved this by simply quitting the instance group if it was one of the other 2 islands. However, after a little while the game seems to have noticed what I was doing, so now it doesn’t give me Verdant Wilds anymore at all, only the other 2 (Snowblossom and Dread Chain). I reseted like 20 now, but no luck.
Is this an intentional mechanic to stop what I’m trying to do, or am I just extremely unlucky?
It is. It’s 3 islands, Verdant Wilds, Snowblossom and Dread Chain, and it WAS working for a while.
My guess is there’s some sort of “bad luck protection” is at play here which was meant to equalize which island you / your team are getting to make it less boring and repetitive.
I don’t know if the game recognised what you were doing, but if you reset it 20 times and it’s still not working it’s very unlikely to be a coincidence.
On a related matter - you can solo Island Expeditions now? This is awesome! Sorry, I’m on and off, taking longer breaks every few weeks so am totally not up to date.
