Is Island Expedition a successful way to level up from 110 to 120?
Should be at least as fast than questing. Iirc it used to be slightly faster in 8.0 but i havenāt tried ever since heirlooms scale up to 120.
You can buy tokens for 20 doublons or buy lvl111 crafted gear which should be as strong as lvl 115 gear. Heirlooms should be great although youāre missing on the azerite pieces huge amount of stats and their traits.
But you donāt think itās faster than dungeons?
At least questing is slightly faster than spamming dungeons as a dps. For tanks/heals and instant queues idk.
I know it took me less time to level my rogue through islands than my warlock through questing. But it was before the heirlooms were upgraded so it may be different.
Overall if youāre looking for the most efficient way to levelup Iād say questing with azerite but turn quests in with heirlooms.
About the heirlooms/azerite strat thereās a famous guy on the NA realms which leveled up more than 30 warriors to lvl120 and using the same optimised build, leveling path and consummables he proved that for warriors this was the fastest way to level a toon through leveling.
I Guess you can try the same thing with dungeons or island & equip your heirlooms before completing the content.
Imo the best way to levelup should be a bit of everything so that you donāt burn out doing the same thing over and over again. Not that efficient though but thatās usualy not what iām looking for.

well you cant fail it tbh, but its not the fastest way either.
atm normal dungeon spam with a tank friend imo is fastest!
or a Freehold carry by good ( ā key word ) 120 prot war through freehold as close second

Before the twink changes it was quite a fast way to level up as twinks with the Legion legendaries that were fully maxed out could clear an entire island almost and you could be boosted through in no time.
I am not sure about island expeditions now with the changes, you can try but it may not be as fast.
Leveling through islands is still fairly fast, not as fast as they used to be but still aight.
Do questing with WM on and dungeons as dps fastest way with looms now far better then island spam.

Fastest way for ally is definitely questing with warmode on and all heirlooms (includes 1 ring) for a whopping 80% bonus exp (dunno if it adds up like that, but I assume it does) and maybe DMF + boralus 10% potion for another 20%. Iāve leveled 8 characters with islands and itās tiring, one group you have a demon hunter soloing the island, other you have 2 leveling palaās that are still wearing WoD leveling gear (actually happend) and you die 25 times, horde nearly wins and youāre out of gold for repairs. I now just switch over to quests at the last few levels when I start hating Islands (take into account that you do about 4 per level if you have warmode bonus and heirlooms on, so 40 in total ish(rested exp halves this a little due to mobs giving 2x there exp)).

Also, if you have have pathfinder unlocked questing will be quicker than island spam due to the speed at which you can quest. The bfa zones arenāt actually that big when you can traverse all of the difficult terrain. Throw in hierlooms/azerite start and youāll power through zones fairly quickly.
