Isle of Conquest Strategy

Alliance likes to take Docks. Then we don’t defend the Glaives, or people don’t position them porperly and they get destroyed by cannons, and we lose the game.
You know guys, maybe we should send a few people to Hangar as well. Having tunnel vision and focusing only on Docks isn’t working out.

What actually happens is the alliance loses the fight for the dock 9/10 times. Most people rage quit soon after. Then it’s just 20 minutes of random moaning and pointless horde door attacking with bombs.

Go mid, pick 4 demolishers, regroup, go together!

Thank me later after you see the effects of devastation and synchronized attack!

Tip : When Siege Engine is about to roll out from the workshop, find immediately a team for the crew so you can maximize the performance of the Siege Engine by destroying the enemy players Under any circumstances never use it to attack the gates with it, only exception you use the siege engine to attack enemy gate is when your team literally controls the whole map that including having glaives, catapults, demolishers, bombers, and airship at your team’s disposal

If you have any geared boomin, this first fight at docks is a faceroll. It was the same boomkin time after time with 1.5kk damage dealt, while guys after were only doing 300k at max, all within the 30 seconds fight. Blizzard needs to rework either convoke or aoe damage of fellow druids, at least on the epic bgs, cuz nowadays it’s just absurd.
Same for Ashran, the more geared boomkins you have, the easier the victory is

Getting people in to the siege engines isn’t a problem, apart from when 3 out of 4 head towards to main gate. Going back to the docks to see the alliance being chased away. With all sieges engines there at the same time it could be possible to retake docks.

Yey, I won Isle today!
We started we docks as usual, but soon after me and a nice group of players capped Hangar. That garanteed the win

And you got plenty of Rogues/druids in your team but nobody is willing to go for the glaives even if they got the best chances to kill them.

But strategy is not only the problem at IoC. Also in other BGs it seems that there is only ONE strategy the people are willing to play…if that fails they start to cry instead of try something different.

Sadly that’s true. There is no plan b, only a. If it fails (which it will) then it’s pretty much game over because no one has a clue what to do next.

Yeah, like in the case of Alterac Valley people still claim you can kill boss with 2 bunkers up, and that you don’t even need a tank to kill Vanndar, yesterday 2 people tried to kick me out from AV atleast three times when I was defending two towers by myself as a tank which I have been repelling enemies successfully, and I explained them that you don’t even need a tank for boss because pets or elementals can take care of it, so people kept rambling about this BG is lost when couple minutes later, magically out of nowhere we win.

I really feel that people in each battleground has no brain at all, and they do silly things on purpose (don’t give me the “oh but is just a game and we are here to play to have fun” bull crap, people do it simply F-about and troll, nothing else, and then you have the keyboard warriors rambling about saying you are toxic, he is toxic, that person is toxic and that cat is toxic, like who cares about them? :joy:

Anyways I don’t mean to deviate the thread, but people need to think more outside the box in battlegrounds especially the likes of Isle of Conquest since there is so much that you can do to turn the tables in your team’s favour. It simply isn’t hard and it doesn’t even require too much thinking.
