Isn't it a little too much?

So what I said. Thanks. :+1:

There’s a thing called definition by context, and in the context of WoW, FOMO is most commonly used about limited time rewards, wich timewalking rewards are not. But whatever, ill admit defeat, if that makes Jito happy.

I am happy i dont even like the armor sets. Sure there is FOMO. I also try to buy everything from bronze celebration tokens. And futher i first pick the sets and skins i like. I have maybe 5 sets i dont have and i have to buy nefarian pet.

Also compare it to real life. If the new winter clothes collection arrives many are not able to affort every hoodie they like. Some are 50 euro each. Yes i care about real life skins too

I know alot of the stuff is “ugly” .i still like to collect what I can.
I ran bt and 5 dungeons with every single alt I had. Not enough to buy all but a good chunk.
Why do I do it. Because I can.
Is it stupid? Prob but I like doing it so /shrug

Are they only available for a week? No it’s called a long term goal. This is the problem with certain wow players now they don’t understand they’re playing an mmo. Not everything needs to be instant

You don’t have to buy everything. Besides Timewalking is cyclical and this is the first time since it was introduced they are adding new stuff to these vendors. So there won’t be anything new for years.

You are supposed to get these in over the years and not the first day…

Yeah but these are guaranteed things if you have the badges.
HH and love rocket are way harder to obtain with their low drop chance and 2 weeks a year availability

If Blizzard had added three things, people would complain about that and call it low effort. I’m pretty sure they realised quite a few who enjoy collecting tw items were done, and they wanted to give new and long term incentive to run the dungeons (again).

I understand from a completionist’s pov that can get quite exhausting. I’d suggest to stick with what gives you genuine joy, and not dopamine fixes, because the latter will keep you chasing carrots that on closer inspection you perhaps don’t even really want.

Please don’t start making these threads… This is the MoP remix and anniversary Bronze all over again…

No it isn’t “a little too much”…
What happens if you clear all the TW vendors first week? Next TW event you will start making “Add more stuff to TW vendors! I bought everything already” threads…

I am really confused really… Blizzard makes a time limited event that is grindy and people rightfully complain and ask for it to be permanent so they don’t have to rush… Blizzard then adds something that isn’t time exclusive and will return again, so we have stuff to earn casually throughout years and people complain that they can’t grind it out in a week…

At this point I am sure, even if Blizzard made recolours of the items each TW cycle to have fresh stuff to buy people would complain that there are too many things and that people feel compelled to play each TW to not lose out… There is no winning

Thats because there are more then 1 group.

1 group want everything fast like me. In diablo 4 the lunar festival gave everything within a day and i got happy. If i have to grind too much i hate it. Diablo 4 battlepass is finished easy before the season ends. Thats very good to me because if i like the items in it i buy it while its already finished. Games where i have to stress out to finish a pass i already bought within 5 weeks is bad.

2 there are ppl who have low play time because other tasks and think that a grind is too much. They whine that the grind is too much.

3 there are ppl who like to play very much and grind hard and complete everything fast. And whine that there is not much to do.

So no matter what is there. Its always 1 of the 2 groups that would create a topic. Also i like that there is much to do but better not a grind and also not limited time.

Agreed. But usually the group that complains they can’t grind things out in week 1, is the same people making the "I know its a long shot, but please add a mount maybe so I can use my Bronze  " threads… (I can’t prove it ofc. but thats my hunch)

As I wrote, I fully understand when it’s stuff like the first iteration of Plunderstorm… I think that was estimated to be around 40 hours on a limited event… That’s a bit too much…

But(!) when its stuff like this, where Blizzard actually tries to add stuff so people that have accumulated tons of badges throughout the years, have something to spend on, whilst also giving new players things to work for for years to come, and people complain… That boggles me

TBC stuff looks awful. I had a look and was like, nope, im saving my TW.

I am sorry, I didn’t meant to start a war and upset people.

I will flag my topic, so it will be removed.

You know these are a permanent addition, yes? You got all future TWs to afford them till you eventually get them all till you got nothing to spend TW badges on again accumulating loads waiting for new additions.

You don’t HAVE to get them all now…

To be fair, I think it’s acceptable.
Otherwise you’d spam 15 alts and get all of it in a week and get over with it and complain there’s no new stuff to do in the next months.

The issue is the rush and “get everything” mentality and the inability to select what you like the most and feel special with it.

Hell, I’ve returned not to long ago and it’s the 3rd TBC timewalking I’m seeing. It’ll be back, you’ll be fine.
